This Battle of the Sexes Game Night Will Make You Plan Your Own

Hey Cuties, I have been going so hard for MimiCuteLips this year that I hadn't had a real chance to just chill with my friends. Babe and I have attended some weddings here and there and I've had a pre-birthday Brunch with a few.  But, on Saturday I found a way to blend everything together. #MyReason because our friends are dope and we always have fun with them. I thought it would be cool, but I didn't know just how epic it would really be. I had a birthday on the 18th and Babe had a birthday on the 27th so we decided to do a post birthday celebration. A Battle of the Sexes Game Night, tailgate style to be exact.

You see this Absolutely Adorable DIY Princess Tiana Costume?

Hey Cuties, I had an amazing weekend, Saturday I hung out with family and friends. Sunday I didn't leave home and I was okay with it. I watched a bit of the Washington vs. Baltimore game in London. I did laundry, repaired my kitchen, downloaded a ton of pictures, did my daughters hair and a few other things. On top of that I still have a bunch of things I didn't get to. When are they going to make the weekend three days?

What You See Will Make You Adore Fall Headbands

Hey Cuties, We've arrived to another Hump Day Wednesday. I am co-hosting a Game Night with Babe this weekend so I'm working on some party details. I will recap for you on Monday. Babe has a solar return tomorrow so I need to make sure the kids and I shower him with lots of things that will annoy him love. LittleCuteLips took her Halloween costume for a test run at an event last Saturday and I need to make some adjustments to that. I woke up to 32-degree temperatures y'all. Mother Nature done straight up punched us in the guts. I need to get our fall lives together. The kids didn't wear hats, I didn't have on tights, a mess. LittleCuteLips has been fussing about her hair accessories because she is a girl and that is what we do. Some of her hair bows need repairing {read glue gun fixing} and she keeps asking for headbands.

The truth about the Taraji P. Henson revealed in Around the Way Girl

Hey Cuties, I had another uber busy weekend, while it was a great I'm exhausted, I'm looking forward to hibernating a bit in the winter. Our temps went from three days of a sunny 80 to a windy 65. On Saturday I headed downtown to the National Museum of Natural History and I had to fight the throngs of people and the wind that was forcing me to walk in the opposite direction. Skinny girl problems, I know. Did I mention that I drove around for a full twenty minutes looking for parking? If you've never been here, welcome to DC. Where our parking sucks and when you do find a spot we will charge you two arms, two legs, one lung and half a fingernail. Seriously.

#FatSnacks Friday, The Truth about 1000 Degrees Neapolitan Pizzeria

Hey Cuties, Friday has rolled back around again and this one is the birthday edition. On Tuesday, I made my 37th solar return, I know you're all like but you look so young; you couldn't possibly be 37. I know right, girl I moisturize and stuff plus this pretty brown is golden honey. I had a chilled-out day planned and I was looking forward to it. There won't be another turn up until 40. Babe took the day off and joined me, we decided on pizza and a movie.

Thrills by Day and Fright by Night #FrightFest

Hey Cuties, We are about two weeks out from Halloween. I've not even started on my daughter's costume yet. #Fail My son is at the age where a costume is no longer a thing. I'm okay with that. Although he isn't dressing up in costumes he still enjoys the thrill of Halloween. Our favorite friends over at Six Flags invited us for a complimentary day of Halloween fun at Fright Fest last weekend. Thrills by Day was all about kid-friendly fun and at six in the evening, things got freaky. By freaky, I mean Fright by Night took over and I was afraid. Full Disclosure: I don't like to be scared, my kids already know don't jump out on me. I'm not responsible for my reaction.

Do you like Simplistic, Powerful and Luxury Cars? WAPA Rally 2016

Hey Cuties, Last week I attended the Washington Automotive Press Association - WAPA Rally, in Kent Island, Maryland. For those of you familiar with the Maryland area, it right across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. I've hung out with some of the folks at WAPA during the Auto Show Media Day event each year in DC. This event was a first for me so I wasn't sure what to expect. I knew they would have tons of cars and we would get to drive them. However, I didn't know what that looked like or how it would be executed.

10 Ways to Help A Loved One Cope with Breast Cancer

Hey Cuties, We are now ten days into October and the world has been painted pink.  October is a month of many things, for example, eight more days until my birthday #1018. Among-st all of the other causes Breast Cancer Awareness is the most popular. The NFL rocks their pink in support as well, you know because real men wear pink. MimiCuteLips boldly and proudly supports the efforts to finding the cure. My mother and mother-in-law are both breast cancer survivors. Last year I shared information on BRCA testing and how and why one would consider it. I shared my Mom's Cancer diagnosis story back in 2011 and I gave you the truth and raw emotion that came with her diagnosis. This will help you understand why I ride so damn hard for this woman.

#FatSnacks Friday: Key West, Florida

Hey Cuties, I am still talking Key West on this #FatSnacks Friday because Key West was so lit. I've recapped what we did on our Cousin's Trip, I shared our incredible dessert experience in Key West and now *drum roll* the incredible hella fat and delicious eats from Key West. Sit back, loosen your buckle, untie the drawstring on those sweat pants and prepare to salivate. You should probably eat while you read so you feel better about what you are going to see. I'm only telling you because I care.
