This Battle of the Sexes Game Night Will Make You Plan Your Own

Hey Cuties, I have been going so hard for MimiCuteLips this year that I hadn't had a real chance to just chill with my friends. Babe and I have attended some weddings here and there and I've had a pre-birthday Brunch with a few.  But, on Saturday I found a way to blend everything together. #MyReason because our friends are dope and we always have fun with them. I thought it would be cool, but I didn't know just how epic it would really be. I had a birthday on the 18th and Babe had a birthday on the 27th so we decided to do a post birthday celebration. A Battle of the Sexes Game Night, tailgate style to be exact.

The truth about the Taraji P. Henson revealed in Around the Way Girl

Hey Cuties, I had another uber busy weekend, while it was a great I'm exhausted, I'm looking forward to hibernating a bit in the winter. Our temps went from three days of a sunny 80 to a windy 65. On Saturday I headed downtown to the National Museum of Natural History and I had to fight the throngs of people and the wind that was forcing me to walk in the opposite direction. Skinny girl problems, I know. Did I mention that I drove around for a full twenty minutes looking for parking? If you've never been here, welcome to DC. Where our parking sucks and when you do find a spot we will charge you two arms, two legs, one lung and half a fingernail. Seriously.

Do you like Simplistic, Powerful and Luxury Cars? WAPA Rally 2016

Hey Cuties, Last week I attended the Washington Automotive Press Association - WAPA Rally, in Kent Island, Maryland. For those of you familiar with the Maryland area, it right across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. I've hung out with some of the folks at WAPA during the Auto Show Media Day event each year in DC. This event was a first for me so I wasn't sure what to expect. I knew they would have tons of cars and we would get to drive them. However, I didn't know what that looked like or how it would be executed.

10 Ways to Help A Loved One Cope with Breast Cancer

Hey Cuties, We are now ten days into October and the world has been painted pink.  October is a month of many things, for example, eight more days until my birthday #1018. Among-st all of the other causes Breast Cancer Awareness is the most popular. The NFL rocks their pink in support as well, you know because real men wear pink. MimiCuteLips boldly and proudly supports the efforts to finding the cure. My mother and mother-in-law are both breast cancer survivors. Last year I shared information on BRCA testing and how and why one would consider it. I shared my Mom's Cancer diagnosis story back in 2011 and I gave you the truth and raw emotion that came with her diagnosis. This will help you understand why I ride so damn hard for this woman.

I’m Judging You, Are you Judging Me? Do-Better

Hey Cuties, I came back from Key West on a Monday and that Tuesday I had the pleasure of attending Luvvi Ajayi's Book Signing event at the new National Museum of African American History and Culture Museum. It is the latest edition to the Smithsonian Museums in Washington, DC. I was really looking forward to this event because Luvvi had another book signing event while I was still in Key West and I was mad I missed it.

Sickle Cell Awareness Month St. Jude & Kelly Price

Hey Cuties, I attended a super dope event last week that I've been waiting to share with you. Bubbling over with excitement a bit, if you follow my Instagram then you know what I'm talking about. Your St. Jude Cutie is back again and this time, we are talking about sickle cell. September is National Sickle Cell Awareness Month.  Do you know anything about sickle cell? Do you know someone who is battling the disease?

Essence Street Style Block Party #EssenceStyle

Hey Cuties, I've shared my Fashion Week experience with you on Monday. Today we are going to change gears a tiny bit but still talk fashion and style. On Saturday after the shows Babe and I headed to the BK aka Brooklyn. We checked out the Essence Street Style Block Party, although this is their third years this was my first.  This event always takes place during fashion week. This year 10,000 people came out and celebrated real women with great style.

New York Fashion Week: KYBOE! & Dan Liu

Hey Cuties, I'm back from an incredible weekend. BUCKET LIST CHECK! Babe and I tramped around the bustling streets of New York for three days. The purpose of our trip was to attend a show at Fashion Week. That turned into two shows for me. I didn't want to do too much for my first run out of the gate. I did both shows on Saturday, my first show was at 10AM (Shout out to Lesha) and my other show was at 1PM. They were on opposite sides of town because that is the real experience. I took an Uber-Pool over, that was an experience in and of itself.

Ubiquitous Expo Recap

Happy Friday Cuties, I told you I had a busy weekend Saturday was Diner En Blanc and I covered Ubiquitous on Sunday.  Ubiquitous is a full two day event but I couldn't make it out on Saturday.  So I had to max out my experience on Sunday. Let me tell you something, life was given. I'll tell you why in a minute.
