Happy New Year : MimiCutelips 2015 Year in Review

Hey Cuties,

We are down to the last day of 2015, Happy New Year! I appreciate you for rocking with me. I hope I've shared something that connected with you one way or another.  I read all your comments and I try to reply to each of them. I don't take your time for granted, you could be anywhere in the world but I appreciate that you come here to chat with me. This year has been major in a rather low key kind of way. Sometimes it takes some reflecting to realize just how far you've come. That applies across the board in life, when we are in the thick of things it's hard to realize the how far we've come. 2015 was a year of preparation for me and let me tell you MIMICUTELIPS IS READY HONEY!

Chocolate Peppermint Pretzels & Spoons

Hey Cuties,

We survived Christmas, I hope it was time well spent doing whatever you did/didn't want to do. We opened gifts and all of that at home. This year we utilized technology and used FaceTime with my sister so she could see my kids open their gifts. On Babe's phone we used Google Hangout so my Mom could also watch. Full Disclosure they both live within five minutes of us. hahaha Later that evening we went to my in laws for dinner, my Mom and sister also joined us.

Getting Santa Ready with My Girl

Hey Cuties,

Christmas is next week and the excitement is increasing. The kids are still asking for things, they want to decorate everything, and the little one keeps asking if Christmas is tomorrow. Meanwhile I'm trying to buy Babe gifts and hide them around the house. I'm excited and tired at the same time, gift giving is so important to me. I always want my gift to be the best gift you've ever had, no matter the occasion. Is Santa real, he is in my book.

Kiss Mas Tree {Easy DIY}

Hey Cuties,

I'm in full on Holiday mode. I'm talking shopping; crafting and I plan to decorate this weekend. I came up with a fun craft to do with the kids to kick off our official holiday season. This is a fun one to do with the kids, you can give it as a gift or you can use it for table decor. I mean what is Christmas without some kisses? Plus #FatSnacks, you already know.

Breakthrough Junior Challenge: STEM Interview

Hey Cuties,

Today is hump day and that means we can see the weekend right over our shoulders. My son turned 11 yesterday and we did a little small celebration for him. He is a far cry from the baby boy I brought home from the hospital. He is in the midst of a major growth spurt and my pockets can't seem to keep up. He is almost as tall as me, his foot size has surpassed mine and his sixth grade homework is more that I can handle. WHY IS HOMEWORK SO COMPLICATED!

DIY Monster Halloween Costume

Happy Halloween Cuties,

I hope you and the little Cuties have decided on a costume and you all are just waiting for it to get dark. I'm sharing my Monster DIY Halloween costume with you as promised. If you saw my last post on the DIY Clown Costume then you saw this one featured in the news segment. This one is probably the easiest of them all. There is no template and no wrong way to create your Monster. As always my costumes have a sew and no sew options.

DIY Clown Halloween Costume {WBALTV 11}

Hey Cuties,

I hope you had a dope weekend. Mine was busy but a lot of fun. We did a Trick or Treat event at the National Harbor with the littlest Cutie on Saturday followed by a Halloween Housewarming. On Sunday I graced the studio of WBALTV in Baltimore, MD. My segment was on *drum roll* DIY Halloween Costumes.  I had a blast, I need to get my face on TV more often, I felt right at home.

DIY Wolf Halloween Costume

Hey Cuties,

Halloween is around the corner and I've been working on DIY Halloween costumes for the kids. I'm making the girl child a clown costume and Lambie from Doc McStuffins costume. This Wolf costume is for the male child. I'm also making a Monster costume for a news segment I'm participating in. I've made them really easy for you to follow and I give you a sew and no sew option. No creative skills required and they cost less than $15.00 to make but look like you spent much more than that. I will post them all before Halloween.

Graham Cracker Pudding Cups

Hey Cuties,

I have a fun little snack to share with you. Nothing fancy, nothing sponsored just my love and adoration for #FatSnacks. This is a great treat for you and the girls or you and the family. It is really quick and easy and you can totally allow people to think you were slaving in the kitchen for hours. I strolled past the ready-made Graham crust and I had to try them.  I wasn't sure what I was going to make with them but I purchased them and let the idea come later.
