Mi’s Workout Plan Vol: I

I recently got a Physical as I was long past due. Good news, I checked out pretty healthy however I was told (and already knew) I need to exercise. I am what they call “Skinny Fat”. This was not news to me as I’ve always held down my inner fat girl. I had already decided it was time to shed this “belly fat” so this was right on time.

Before we get too deep let’s start with some basic facts:

  • Age: 30+3
  • Children: 2
  • Weight: 130 lbs
  • Height: 5’5
Now based on those facts alone one would think I was the picture of health. For the most part I am however the good lord blessed me with excellent genetics. Those genetics alone kept me “Thin in the waist and cute in the Face” until about age 29. Then pre-30 set in and let me tell you a change had come.
I’ve never been into exercise unless you count the 2 years I cheer-leading in HS and the heavy clubbing (read dancing all night long) in my early 20’s.
My Babe is in tip top shape, he is a runner, he does the crazy obstacle races, he has completed the Insanity work out and is Certified Tough (c) Tough Mudder. He is also crazy and intense you know in a very loving sort of way. So I asked him to kill me be my personal trainer. I might regret this later but I know he will encourage me, force me, and not let me give up. PRAY FOR ME!!!
Insanity: Day 1 (Fit Test) I thought I was going to have a heart attack. I’m SO serious. a few words I managed to mumble during my work out was death, pain, boiling, exhausted, heart attack and dizzy. They tell you to write down the number of the various exercises you are able to do. I’m certain I suck but here goes. I will refer back to this in about a month.
Switch Kicks: 53
Power Jacks: 29
Knee Slaps: 44
Power Jumps: 13
Globe Jumps: 5
Suicide Jumps: 7
Low Plank Oblique: 10
Push up Jacks (modified) 20
Insanity: Day 2 NOTHING about this was easier after having done Day 1. Tired was an understatement, my skin was all red, my temperature felt beyond boiling and my legs were like jello. I had nothing else to give. I managed to finish it by the skin of my teeth.

    Go Mimi! I wish you well on your journey to health. Just Dance, Zumba, and Michael Jackson Experience are my favorite work outs on the Wii. I am too old to do much more than that. I’ll die. I usually end up with sore arms, abs, and some busted blood vessels. Thank God for good genes.
