2012 was another good year in the books for me. This was a huge year of change for me and I wouldn’t find out just how much until later in the year. Going from a parent of one to a parent of two is a big difference. One that you can’t actually prepare for you just have to experience. With that being said it has been a joy watching our family dynamic change and even more fun having a baby in our home after seven years. That really is a long time.
January 12th: I/us/we/me welcomed Nori Michelle into this crazy world at 5:10AM. She is the proud little sister to Big Brother Nasir. Our family is officially complete as a party of four.
I wasn’t sure how the children would bond with them being 7 years and 2 months apart. I’m pleased to say those issues were quickly squashed. I couldn’t dream of a better bond for my children. Nasir is so gentle and nurturing to his baby sister. Nori on the other hand is the tiny bully baby sister; she is the roughest and toughest little person I’ve ever met. Her brother means more than anything in this world to her. Raising Nasir & Nori has exceeded my wildest dreams, I’m so glad we decided to have one more.
As Nori inches closer to her first birthday (in eleven days) she is talking more and walking all over the place. I can’t wait to see what adventures 2013 brings us. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from 2012.
Nasir holding Nori for the first time.
Feeding his sister and watching TV
Nori hanging with Da-Da & Big Bro
Cutest bunnies ever.
Nasir loves to read and he shares that passion with Nori.
Beating up Nasir with her feet.
Nasir made green belt and Nori was so proud of him.
I swear I had the same baby twice.
The Sunday paper must be really funny.
Trip to the Farm with her brother and cousins.
They can really play now.
2012 really cracked her up…
When they say babies grow up fast that is the truth. I’m so proud to have captured so many great moments. While the memories will always live in our hearts its nice to have a visual to go along with them.
