Morning! #OurProject52

New ish!!! I decided to join Project 52 {#ourproject52} with Mimi {Lipgloss & Binky} and Lashawn {Everyday Eyecandy}. This is my first photo challenge. Eeeek! I missed out on week 1 but I’m ready to roll for week 2.

WEEK 2: MORNING!

This is what my Mon. – Fri. mornings look like…

The House: Getting the kids ready and out the door… some mornings are smoother than others.

#OURPROJECT52 2

Hot Tea is a must for me, milk for the toddler.

OURPROJECT52 1

The commute: After the drama on the Metro (train system) this week I drove in today. I sang along to the radio and laughed at the Steve Harvey Morning Show. I didn’t even care about the traffic, it wasn’t horrible but we have protesters. Welcome to D.C.!

#ourproject52 2

All pictures were taken on my iPhone5C; I’m going to use my real camera next week. At least that is the plan. I hope your morning is amazing.

Each week has a writing prompt; you snap a picture or few then write a little something-something and share it using the #ourproject52 then participate in the link up every Thursday. If you aren’t a blogger you can link up from IG.

Hi! I’m so glad all went well with your commute {I lived in D.C. as a kid and remember riding the metro}. So glad you linked up, it’s fun to see the “behind~the~scenes” pictures.

    • MimiCuteLips

Thanks Daenel, they had a lot of problems on Tuesday and someone died. A mess girl, same metro with more headache. I appreciate you stopping by, it is a lot of fun to check out the link ups. Everyone has a different view.

  2. Kerin Monaco

I absolutely LOVE this photo challenge idea. I have tried to complete tons but this one seems like one I could actually follow through with!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE! Thank you!

    • MimiCuteLips

Kerin, I totally agree. I’ve true a few on Instagram and I can’t seem to stick with them. I’m going to force myself to keep going with this one. Its fun to see others point of view on the same topic.

  3. Sonya

Love your haircut. I like to drink hot tea in the morning too. I happen to remember I’ll squeeze a little fresh lemon juice in it since it’s suppose to be good for you first thing in the morning.

    • MimiCuteLips

Thanks Sonya, I love a funky haircut. lol Yay for tea drinkers. Hmmm I’ve not tried the lemon juice, I will have to pick some up. Thanks for stopping by.

Getting ready in the morning is the craziest part of our day too. We lived in DC for about 4 years and I loved it. Sitting in traffic and listening to the Michael Baisden show on my way home was a big part of my day.

    • MimiCuteLips

Ha! I used to listen to his show all the time, it made the commute home entertaining. I’m sure you don’t miss the DC traffic at all.

  5. Andrea @ MouseInMyPocket.com

Wow! Commutes sound scary. I live in rural America where having to drive 15 minutes into town for groceries is something to complain about. Glad to meet you and I hope you enjoy the challenge.

  6. Edwige

Getting ready in the morning with 3 girls is sooo much fun…NOT. Lol! I’m a hot tea kind of girl too 🙂 Great pos. Love the Photo challenge.

    • MimiCuteLips

Oh wow Edwige, I’m sure that is an adventure every morning. Thank god for the calming and soothing of our hot tea. hahaha Feel free to join the challenge, we would love to have you.

  7. LaShawn

Ahhhhh. I miss DC with all my heart. But not the traffic. ( mainly chicken wings and mumbo sauce and Horace and Dickies but that’s another story for another time) I miss he Metro in comparison to the MARTA down here. I heard about the tragedy and I would be hesitant taking it too. SMH. Anyway, YAAAAAYYYY Welcome to our project 52!!

    • MimiCuteLips

lol @ not the traffic. I don’t blame you one bit. Girl! Horace & Dickies changes lives, I love that place. Thanks for the welcome, I’m looking forward to the weekly link ups.

  8. Teems

I don’t know why but the thought of commuting via metro out here makes me nervous. Even though the traffic is crazy, I prefer driving. Your kids seem really close to each other dispute the age difference. So sweet. My brother and I are 5 years apart but got on each others last nerve.

    • MimiCuteLips

Teems, there are certainly comforts of being in your own car. My kinds do pretty well together but they certainly have their love hate moments. They scream at one another, they are typical siblings. hahahaha.

  9. Mimi

I haven’t lived in DC for years but I remember as a child when the Woodrow Wilson bridge was only a few lanes and would lift up to let a boat through during rush hour.

The traffic here in Atlanta is just as bad. The awful part is the transit system here isn’t efficient at all. At least y’all have a choice. Here you don’t.

I just love your look. I really do, you wear it well.

    Thank you for linking up!

    • MimiCuteLips

Ha, that Woodrow Wilson Bridge was one of the worse things to happen to our area. You would sit their for hours waiting for a boast to pass. Then the bridge would get stuck. hahahaha

That sucks when you don’t even have a decent back up. I will appreciate the crazy train a little more. lol

      Thanks hun! <3

Mommy hustler!! I drink tea daily too! And I lived in DC area for 8 years. I miss it-except for the winters!

    • MimiCuteLips

Girl, this winter is doing us in too. We’ve had a lot of snow and now ice. I’m so ready for spring. Tea certainly makes things better.
