It is Our Project 52 Thursday and we are in week six. This week’s theme is eyes if you are like me then you immediately starting singing and body rolling to Mint Condition’s, Pretty Brown Eyes.
Week 6: Eyes
They always say beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and the older I get the truer this statement becomes. I can get a million compliments on something but if eye don’t like it nothing else matters. As I find my stride in life at 35 I’ve become more beautiful in my own eyes. Not just in a physical sense {that too though} but in how I view life with these pretty brown round driving me wild eyes. {What song is that?} I’m not the traditional type but I’m okay with that. I have tattoos, I’m officially in love with bow ties, and I adore my haircut and all the funky things that make me, Mi.
My tag line for this blog is “A blog about life as I SEE it, LIVE it, LOVE it (or not)! Everything isn’t for everybody but if you like what you see with your eyes then that what matters. You will be much happier living life on your own terms.

Love your bow tie and your haircut! Totally agree with you, everything isn’t for everybody. However, if you like it you shouldn’t worry about how others see it.
Thanks Sonya, I so agree.
that song is R Kelly’s remix for bump and grind! Lol( showing my age with a slow body roll) ANYWAY!
As I’ve grown older, I’ve come to appreciate myself better. And accept ME. It’s been a blessing to realize that I like me. 🙂
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaas!!! Ha, I was showing my age too. I agree, the older I get the better. I wish my younger self knew this would happen.
You have beautiful eyes. And I absolutely love your outfit. Bow ties are cool.
Thanks Andrea, I’m so in love with them now.
First, I LOVE your haircut (and that yellow sweater)! As we get older we do come to appreciate ourselves more. I’m slowly figuring things out about myself and I’m excited about my 30s. You’re right, we could hear a million compliments a day but it doesn’t mean anything if you don’t believe it yourself.
Thanks Tia, getting dressed is so fun sometimes. I had no idea how great my 30’s would be.
You are seriously slaying the bowtie look Mimi! I absolutely love and adore it 🙂 I think eyes are definitely powerful in that you can tell a lot by looking into someone’s eyes.
Thanks hun, this is my first time but I’m hooked girl. I love the way the look turned out. 2 naps. lol
I love your whole look and your spirit. I’m obsessed with eyes, looking people in the eyes to see the root of who they are and seeing things through my own. 🙂
Thanks hun. Our eyes really do say a lot about us. They give us the warm an fuzzy moments and the red flags.
Awesome bowtie. And so true. Everything isn’t for everyone. Everyone needs to learn and realize that, but I guess it takes time sometimes.
Thanks for sharing Holly.
Ahhhhh I like the spin you took with this! Your opinion of yourself and what you see is the most important! Btw I love your look so carry on! Lol
Thanks Nadeen, variety is the spice of life right.
I’m a visual learner so my eyes are everything. I wear glasses which unfortunately serves as a disguise more than anything, but I love them.
Crystal, they have such really cool frames these days. I wear all kinds of frames just for fashion.
Creative take on the prompt. Love your outfit. I’m 41 and I still have moments of self doubt… I love that you’re so confident.
Thanks Daenel. It took me a long time to get here but I think we all have some self doubt sometimes.
I love this look! That cardigan is poppin! Super cute hair do.
Thanks Sandy, I can’t wait to mix and match this look from season to season.
