Washington Car Show Media Day {Ladies Edition}

Do ladies know cars? Heck yeah we do. Shout out to Chevrolet for supporting the ladies. They collaborated with Shebuyscars.com to bring lady influence-rs {bloggers} to Washington, D.C. for the 2015 Auto Show Media Day. I’m talking real girl power.  Cars are traditionally seen as a man’s thing but in 2015 women are taking charge. We make up 85% of the buying? Who runs the world? GIRLS!

 MimiCuteLips Cadillac

The day started off with breakfast in the Cadillac area. We heard from Johan de Nysschen {President of Cadillac} and a several others. They spoke about a lot of new things Cadillac has been working on, real fancy stuff I tell you.

Chevrolet Volt

The ladies shared their automotive industry experience and spilled all the tea on electric cars.

I love this 2015 Chevy Tahoe, they thought of all the things my SUV was missing and put them in here.

This panel right here is a bloggers dream. Hands free phone for getting work done safely. Pandora for your jams because the radio just won’t do sometimes. Safe texting so you aren’t crashing into folks while typing. WIFI YEAH! The kids would love that more than me. That means they can use their tablets more while in the ride. They have apps for all of that. This center console was so big my entire bag could fit inside and it had a LED light. WHAT!

They didn’t have to do me like this. THAT AINT CUTE!

BLM Girls

Let me tell you about this lunch though. The BLM Girls were holding it down. The Crew: Kirstin {Passenger 156}, Martine {Candid Belle}, Christine {Moms N Charge}, Te {The Style Medic}, and these Cute Lips. Thanks to Nae {I Choose the Sun} for taking our picture. We laughed, learned and laughed some more. It’s always a good time when we get together.

They fed us good hot food, I tore that up too. The real joy was what used to be a strawberry short cake. It was flavorful, it was fluffy and it was moist. I hope I meant as much to it as it did to me.

Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz broke the internet during the State of the Union. This is not 1776 but I was tickled to see him at this event. His security was deep too. Pam Fletcher, Executive Chief Engineer – Electrified Vehicles, GM was telling him about all the amazing features in the 2015 Volt. I must say after today I’m open to purchasing a Volt. I wasn’t sure about electric cars, the benefits or the features. The thought of filling up my gas tank up once a month brings me joy. Your vehicle is power by electricity 80% of your trips.

I’m not the minivan type, but this right here might change my mind. This is perfect for grandma and the kids. As parents we sometimes joke about putting our kids out, well now you really can.

Left: Christine {MomsNCharge} and I had our headphones on listening to James Bell, Head of Consumer Affairs for General Motors. He gave us a personal tour of the Auto Show. Right: Nae {I Choose the Sun} and I so needed a photo op.

Shouldn’t all cars come with a big ol’ pink Unicorn like this Toyota.

Georgetown University Art Car Series

I love this Mazda 3, I used to own a Protege5 and it was my favorite car to date. This design is a part of the Georgetown University Art Car Series.

Ford Spongebob

Ford made this van a little cooler with a SpongeBob theme, a hit with the children for sure.

I had a full day of learning, listening, laughing and making connections.
