Spring in DC

The calendar says spring and the temps in DC are slowing getting the memo. I don’t want to jinx things just yet but we’ve had our final snow.  In honor of this nice weather that has set my allergies in over drive I took the kids for a bike ride to the playground in our neighborhood.  It was nice to see them run around.

Bonus: They slept well last night and a little late this morning. AMEN!

Week 13: Spring

Spring in DC 1

Fun, at the playground you know!

Spring in DC 2

Big Bro joined us too.

Spring in DC 3

They found a tennis ball and ran around the tennis courts tossing it at one another. So simple yet so fun.

Spring in DC 4

Old school fun, hello spring.

Spring in DC 5

Dad rode by the playground before going for a ride. Spring is the start of motorcycle season.  WATCH OUT FOR BIKERS! They see you long before you see them, when in doubt just don’t move. They will go around you.

Spring in DC 6

One time for a group shot.

Spring in DC 7

This is the sign of a good time!

What do you like to do in spring?

Your daughter’s hair is adorable! I love her high pony!! We are not far from DC and so happy to hit the parks and just be outside without slipping on ice or freezing our buns off!

    • MimiCuteLips

Thanks Briton, her hair gets really big. The back half was in two french braids. lol I totally understand enjoying anything that isn’t ice. Winter was tough up North.

  2. Sonya

It’s good that it is warming up enough in DC so you guys can enjoy some time outside. It looks like your kids had a great time. I’ll all for getting kids extra tired so they can sleep late the next day 🙂

How fun! I think this spring we want to do more amusement parks and zoo visits, and the kids are excited, I am looking forward to the zoo, it will be our first time with the wee one

    • MimiCuteLips

Funny you say that Nancy, my little wants to go to the Zoo. We’ve taken her before but she was so little she doesn’t remember. Spring is a perfect time to go.

  4. Adanna

We love to get out to the park in the spring as well. Actually, we went today. I think since we’ve been locked up inside for the winter we are just excited to explore the outdoors.

    • MimiCuteLips

Adanna, I feel you. Any day that isn’t ice and snow is a good day to be out and about. Yall had it worse than we did.

Loooove your baby girl’s hair, too cute! We’ve definitely been enjoying this Spring time weather. We like to definitely play outside and keep it simple – toss the ball around, play catch, ride bikes. I can’t wait to get my roller skates so I can get my skate on with the girls.

  6. Bernetta

These are great images! And yes Spring is here bunny! So glad. I wish my son would get the memo he can sleep late (h’e s 2!)

    • MimiCuteLips

Ha, my three year old gets her sleep. My 10 year old wakes up at the crack of dawn. I tell them to stay in their rooms until 8AM. Dad and I need our rest.

  7. Charlotte

these are great pics! I’ve fallen behind on the project.. I need to play catch up! Your kids are the cutest!
