New Baby Alert: Minbie Bottle

 Hey Cuties,

There is a new baby on board and I have baby fever. Let’s be clear my baby girl is three and I am done making babies. My niece had a baby which makes me a Great Aunt but I’m too fly for all of that. I’m affectionately known as Auntie Amazing. haha I’m totally soaking up all the fun things that comes with a new baby. Minus all the sleepless nights, delirium and showering every couple of days.

I was given a free bottle in exchange for my review.
All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own. Don’t worry, I shan’t tell a lie.

Meet Bailey Elizabeth affectionately known as Bails or Bailey Bagel

She fell asleep on my cheek

If you follow me on FB & IG then you’ve seen her a time or two. You already know you should be following me; that is where the daily magic happens. Ms. Bailey is only two months old and right now she is into the boob, trying to sit up, more boob, jumping up and down, the boob and smiling.

I had the pleasure of babysitting Ms. Bails for a few hours today. As a total boob baby I wasn’t sure how our babysitting experience was going to go.  I’ve talked about taking the breastfeeding route here on the blog and I’m all for it. Bails doesn’t get a bottle often so I didn’t know if she was going to be very picky.  Shout out to the folks at Minbie for sending us a complimentary bottle for me to try out on her.

  • Minbie nurtures a newborn’s ability to breastfeed by allowing newborns to bottle-feed with the instinctive feeding technique that they are born with.
  • Minbie supports a newborn’s digestion by helping to release natural digestive enzymes. This supports a baby’s sleep too.
  • Minbie matches breast and bottle feeding techniques.
  • Minbie is made from the highest quality German sourced soft silicone, certified bio-compatible.

After screaming at me Bails happily drank milk from her Minbie bottle.  She naturally took to the teat with no problem.  Auntie Amazing is out of practice honey, it’s different when they aren’t your own. We survived our first sitting {4hrs} and my niece will totally let me watch her again. Bails prefers the boob but she doesn’t mind the Minbie from time to time.

I used that Dr Brown Bottle set….I think it’s been so long since I handled a bottle I wouldn’t even know what to do with one lol. My babies days are over also I am so bad if they cry I give them back with the quickness

    • MimiCuteLips

Kita I feel you, my baby is 3 yet I still felt out of practice. I used Playtex drop ins because they were easy.

  2. Mimi

    Auntie Amazing? I love it!

I was always lucky that my babies took the bottle and the breast but I’ve heard people say their children had a hard time switching between the two.

Like you, I am done with the babies but I will be sure to pass on the info about these to a few expecting mamas I know!

    • MimiCuteLips

Thanks Mimi, it’s so ridiculous that I love it. It’s hilarious to hear the family say Auntie Amazing.

I’m so thankful my babies weren’t particular either. They never had nipple confusion. I can’t imagine dealing with that.

  3. Vashti (

Aww, Bailey is too cute! This is the first time I have heard of the Minbie bottle but it looks like a great option for bottle feeding

  4. Christine @MomsNCharge

Awww she’s a cutie pie! My great niece will be two next month and I told my nephew she will not call me Great Aunt, but Auntie squared. I’m liking Auntie Amazing though so may adopt that one. lol. I hadn’t heard of this bottle but I have so many friends who have recently given birth and are breastfeeding so will have to share with them.

    • MimiCuteLips

I freaking love Auntie Squared, that will be my back up in case she refuses Auntie Amazing when she gets older. hahahaha

      Sharing is caring girl.

  5. Nancy

She is adorables!!!! I love that it nurtures a babys natural ability to breastfeed, my baby had a lot of trouble with that, it would have been nice to have a bottle that didnt make it more challenging for her…

    • MimiCuteLips

Thanks Nancy, I think this bottle is a great answer for babies that are particular. You know things get fancy after we have our babies.

  6. Julian B. Kiganda (@BoldFearless1)

Lol Christine…I like Auntie Squared! Now that is one cute baby. I wish Miss Minbie had been around when my daughter was a baby. I had the hardest time getting her to latch on and breast feed (took more than a week!); and then when I finally did, I had the hardest time getting her to STOP breast feeding (I had to leave the country to wean her!!!).

    • MimiCuteLips

Right, Auntie Squared is so cute. Thanks Julian she is so fun. I feel you on trying to get them to stop. My kids would pull on my shirt and all kinds of crazy stuff. hahahaha

  7. Joanne T Ferguson

Thank you for you review! it is always interesting to learn something new! While I don’t have a use, I have friends in the States that do!

  8. Michele

What an adorable little girl! I never had kids but babysat my friends kids often enough——Ot os great that they came out with a bottle that a baby can switch to with little to no problem.

  9. Tanj from A Travelogue

Cute baby first of all. Have so many friends who just gave birth, its that age where everyone is having one. Will keep this mind and share it. Thanks.

  10. Leelo R

Bailey Elizabeth looks adorable! When my son was using bottles, then we were using NUK bottles which were great. If I had a new baby then I would love to give a Minbie bottle a try.

  11. Robin Rue (@massholemommy)

She is so cute. I can tell you are such a good mom to her. Those bottles sound like they are the answer 🙂

  12. Jaime Nicole

I love the Auntie Amazing title! It’s wonderful to see a family member taking an interest in their nieces and nephews! This sounds like a great bottle and I will pass along the information to our friends who are expecting!

    • MimiCuteLips

Thanks Jaime, its much easier when they aren’t actually your kids. I get to enjoy all of the fun parts of a new baby.

  13. Heather

I nursed, so I didn’t use many bottles, but this looks great! I love that it doesn’t confuse the baby with breastfeeding. I’m glad baby bottle making companies are supporting breastfeedling like this. It helps when you really need childcare! You seem like an awesome aunt!

    • MimiCuteLips

Thanks Heather, I totally agree. I’m glad they are supporting the breastfeeding community. I worked outside of the home so they got bottles during the day. Nursing them was so easy, no extra items needed.

  14. Uplifting Families

I am so glad that they are coming up with bottles that mimic the breast. This is a great review and I hope that you continue to enjoy your sweet niece. I am getting baby fever too but my baby days are OVER too. My baby just turned 4. Thank goodness my sister is currently expecting and I hope that I can help her with the baby.

    • MimiCuteLips

I’m in total agreement I hope it makes life a little bit easier for Moms. See you can live it up in Auntie land just like me.

  15. Kim

What a beautiful little baby girl. We are so far out of using bottles that I am not even sure what is new and great out there. I will have to remember this next time someone asks about them.

  16. Liz Mays

That’s a rally cute picture. The design of that bottle does seem great. Some of the classic ones I tried to use didn’t work at all.

  17. Susan quackenbush

I don’t have any newborns around any more but this really does look like a useful product! I’ll be sure to recommend this to any of my friends or loved ones that might be expecting. Thank you! 🙂

    • MimiCuteLips

Thanks Susan, it seems a lot of us are past the newborn stage. I think that is why I enjoy pretending with my niece.

  18. Caryn

I love your title – Auntie Amazing. I used Dr. Browns, but that was six years ago. I’m sure there is something better or at least competitive right now. Sounds like this is a good option.

  19. Valerie

I am way past the point of needing bottles but these look great. I think they are perfect for a breastfed baby!

  20. Tammileetips

She is an adorable little girl! It amazes me all the changes they make in bottles to help with the transition.

  21. Fi Ní Neachtáin

Aww how precious is Bailey, I love that name. That bottle looks great, the teat looks like it’s perfect for easy flow for baby. Congrats great aunt! 🙂

  22. Chubskulit Rose

My kids used bottle for two weeks but after that, I breastfed them for almost two years.

  23. Krystal

That would have been a great bottle to try with my son. Thanks for the review and advice!

  24. Miranda (Myrabev)

Awww how cute and adorable is she, I do not yet have kids but when I do I want to mix it up both boob and bottle hope the future offspring’s will agree with me lol.

  25. Chrissy

Great review! I’m breastfeeding and use the Kiindle system for pumping and bottle feeding, but am always curious about other bottle choices. Good to know this is out there.

  26. Kiwi

Miss Bailey Bagel is too adorable! I love that you are Auntie Amazing!!

  27. Lois Jones

I was fortunate that my boys went fro one to the other with no problem, although we seldom used a bottle. Good to see they have something closer to the real thing now!

  28. Kasi

Your great-niece is adorable!!! I’ll have to tell my sister about that bottle, she may want to try it out with my 2 month old nephew.

  29. Amrita

Hello I need help coz my daughter not taking bottle am
    Full time breast feeding

    • MimiCuteLips

Amrita, I am not a medical professional but I would suggest feed her a little from the boob. This way she isn’t starving, then try and give her breast milk in a bottle. She might be willing to take it, you might have to try different types to help her out. I used Playtex with my kids, but there are several options that she might like best. Good luck.
