Miami Eats

Hey Cuties,

How was your weekend?  Mine was just what I needed. My Hike It Mama event took place on Saturday morning and it was an amazing good time. I will recap that on the blog later this week. After that I laid around and laid around some more. Yes on Saturday and Sunday, this body got the rest of a lifetime. Shout out to everyone that left a comment on my Anxiety post last week. The feedback was so amazing I genuinely appreciate it.

Here is a recap from my much needed cousin-cation in South Beach, Miami.

Marriott Biscayne Bay

This beautiful view is compliments of our hotel room. For the first time ever we didn’t stay on the Ocean Drive strip and I absolutely loved it! We were on the 24th floor of the Marriott Biscayne Bay, 1633 North Bayshore Drive, Miami, FL.  We used Uber to get around the entire time and let me tell you that was one of the best decisions ever. We had some of the coolest drivers and they totally enjoyed our company. Every time we got into a car it was like the ceiling lit up with lights because it was a party.

I found them on Yelp and all of the comments were good. The pictures sold me and there was no need for debate. We called for an Uber and arrived hungry. Victor greeted us with a smile and gave us the run down on how to order. He is also the owner, the Yelp comments said how amazing he was and they were spot on; he was so down. Shout out to Louis, he cooks the meat. I told him I would give him a shout out because Victor gets all the credit. Show them both love when you visit this establishment. EVERYTHING WAS SO FREAKING GOOD!

We happen to walk past this place and decided to take a chance.  It paid off in a big way, we got a late start to our day and I just knew everyone had stop selling breakfast. The food God lets me know all is well, the price was right and the food was heavenly. Amen!

The girl in the Fossil store put us on to this spot. It was so good we went two nights in a row. The Frieze makes its own all natural ice cream and sorbet daily.  They opened in 1987 and their products or certified Kosher dairy.

MimiCuteLips is SOBE

Full Disclosure: I like plain Jane ice cream so I had Vanilla & Vanilla Fudge Swirl. My cousin tried the sorbet and really liked it. They have fun flavors like Champagne {Sorbet}, Pink Grapefruit {Sorbet} Key Lime Pie {Ice Cream}, and more.

Miami South Beach Uber

We took daily selifies with the selfie stick in our Uber cars. Our Lips were popping!

Nikki Beach Miami

Nikki Beach is simply an experience!

We went for Sunday Brunch 11am – 4pm, the flat rate is $65. {Remember its an experience.} This is what you get: Omelet Station, Fresh Crepe & Belgium Waffle Station, Breakfast Station, Rotisserie & Carving Stations, Sushi & Seafood Station, Vietnamese Soup Station, Paella Station, Salmon Station, Artisan Cheese & Gourmet Bread Display, Pasta Station, Fruit Stand, Salad Stations and Dessert Stations. If you are fat and fun like us then you would likely state the entire time.

That dessert on the right with the raspberry on the top was my favorite. The cake was red velvet and it had a whip in between the layers. YUM!

The food was amazing and the decor inside was real sexy.

We had a ball eating and people watching. I had a plate a fruit as you can see. There were all kinds of people at Nikki Beach. There were rich old men popping $1,000 bottles of champagne. Including family groups of 6 or so including infants and toddlers. Just the girls, just the fellas, athletes and more.

Miami SOBE 305

After all of that we hit the beach. Nikki Beach also has its own entrance. We snapped pics, chatted, drank and ate some more. Yes after spending 5 hrs at Nikki Beach eating we ate again. HELLO, WE ARE ON VACATION!

Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way let me tell you about these Jerk Chicken Wings from the Marriott. *smacks teeth real hard & squints one eye* Marriott had the best deal so we got beach chairs and umbrellas from them. Naturally we had to sip something; I ended up with the most amazing Sangria I’ve ever had. My cousins had frozen something or another that they also enjoyed. If you’re drinking then you are likely eating {again}. Not pictured is the order of fries the three of us tore up.

Back to the wings, they were fried perfectly and the seasoning was everything. I respect someone who is on their A game when it comes to frying chicken. Everyone doesn’t just have that skill. I have the gene; just ask my family and friends.

Miami Uber

Miami was simply the best!

I hope you enjoyed my recap; we had such a good time.

The food looks amazing. I will certainly have to try some of these places. The different flavors sound amazing too. Were the ubers expensive getting around Miami?

    • MimiCuteLips

Thanks Holly, it really was. Uber prices were cheaper than a regular taxi cab. If you’ve never used them you can get a deep discount on your first ride. We save that for the ride from the Ft. Launderdale airport to the hotel.
