Soy Garlic Chicken Stir Fry

Hey Cuties,

I posted a pic of my dinner on IG and had folks inquiring so I thought I would just write a post. So here we go, lately I’ve been in the kitchen cooking. Not sure what has become of me but I’ve always been more of an eater than a cooker. If I’d known this would end up on the blog or I would have taken better pictures of the process. I was just teasing my cousins with pics via text.

I made Soy Garlic Chicken Stir Fry and it was really good. I didn’t have a recipe to follow but I will tell you how I did it. I saw a baggie of mixed veggies in the grocery store a few weeks back and bought them. I had no idea what I was going to do with them but I now owned them.

Mixed veggies

Meat {Chicken}

Oil {Olive Oil}

Seasoning Salt

Archer Farms {Target} Soy Garlic Sauce

Jasmine Rice {Optional}

I put enough olive oil in the pain to cover the bottom of the skillet. Then I sprinkled Lawry’s seasoning salt on the chicken breast. You can use the seasonings of your choice based on your dietary needs. I cooked the meat until it was done. I took it out the pan and cut it up in strips. {I cooked eight chicken tenders; I thought that would be enough for two nights for a family of four. It was not!}

I set my chicken aside so I could cook my veggies.

I put 2 Tbsp. of oil in the pan and cooked my veggies. They were frozen so it took a little longer. I stirred them up frequently. Once they were done I added in my chicken.

With my veggies cooked and my chicken added in I poured my Soy Garlic sauce over it. I picked this up from Target {this post is not sponsored.} They had about five different flavors; I wasn’t sure which one to try but Babe settled out on this one. I used two packs of this sauce and that was enough to cover the meat and veggies.

The sauce was really good and flavorful. I was worried it would be bland but it wasn’t. I relied on the sauce to punch up the flavor. I feared if I seasoned my veggies or chicken a lot it might take away from the taste. If you want more flavor I suggest making it first as is. Then add in additional ingredients the second time around.

My Soy Garlic Chicken Stir Fry is done.

I put it over a bed of jasmine rice. {I sound fancy right?} I told y’all I was in a cooking mood so I also made bacon wrapped asparagus.
