The Classic BLACK Man

Hey Cuties,
Today I'm challenging you to open your eyes to something that might not be familiar. After you open your eyes, open your hearts! When I turn on the news I see headline after headline that reads like a constant attack on our black men. Just know that you can't paint everyone with the same broad stroke.  Last week I saw an image on IG and I had to repost it; I don't repost much but when something captures my attention I have to share. I reached out to Marquelle Turner, the gentlemen who posted the image and he was so gracious to share more with me. He and I did a Q&A below and included some of the beautiful images these stylish black men captured in that photo shoot.

Big Apple, Good Eats & Cute Fits

What up Cuties?

What's good with you? I've been enjoying vacation with the family. By enjoying I mean listening to the kids fight more than usual. Listening to them tell me they are hungry 100 times a day instead of their normal 50. Oh and my favorite where are we going today question; you know the usual. I kicked off our "family" vacation with a trip to New York without the family. Makes sense right? A couple weeks back I mentioned I was going to travel alone for the first time. Well that sort of kind of still happened.

Hey Girl, how you doin? My name is Charlie last name Wilson.

Happy Friday Cuties!

This has been a slow week on the blog. I've snapped out of my funk but I lost my writing mojo.  I'm on the train headed to NYC to enjoy some R&R.  Who am I kidding, I will be in the streets all hours or the night shopping and hanging with my Blogger Boo's.  That is resting to me, I will eat my heart out and share all the fat snacks with you on the blog next week. To catch me in the moment make sure you follow me on Twitter & Instagram.

Snapping out of your funk

Hey Cuties,

I've been in a bit of a funk as of late and I'm not 100% sure why. I had been trying to get my fat eating habits together and I was doing pretty well. I was drinking 64 ounces of water a day and using the bathroom like Sea biscuit. For lunch I was getting my very addictive Grilled Chicken Cesar Salad from Chopt. Then all hell broke loose in the office yesterday. I declared myself an emotional eater and took my emotional behind to Five Guys. It is only 2 blocks from my office, block one no problem, block 2 torrential down pour. I had on my cute pencil skirt and did not even care about the rain. My attitude was all the way funky. hahaha Shout out to the little bacon cheeseburger, Cajun fries and vanilla root beer soda that made me feel better. #FatSnacks

A Powerful Message from the UniverSoul Circus

Hey Cuties,

I hope you enjoyed your nice long Independence Day weekend. I celebrated by working on several pairs of custom converse.  Sunday I actually got out, ran some errands then hung out with some friends. With so much going on in the world I just wasn't feeling very patriotic. Thursday I attended the media day at the UniverSoul Circus in the Washington, DC area. {DMV} I've attended once before about 10+ years ago.  I had forgotten how much fun this show would be. Mother Nature was upset with someone because we had some torrential downpour. Yet that didn't change the packed out crowd; those performers gave us their all.
