Macy’s Holiday Events {DC: NOV. 14 @2PM} #MacysBelieve

Hey Cuties,

I think it is safe to say that we are officially in the holiday season. Thanksgiving is around the corner, and the stores are already talking about Black Friday deals. I’m in a holiday frame of mind and I’m uber excited about it; I even started shopping and everything.

This post is sponsored by Everywhere Agency; however, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

There is always a special feel in the air during this time of year.  I love continuing traditions with the family and creating new ones. Some of my favorites are our personalized Christmas stockings. New pajamas to wear on Christmas Eve. Making holiday treats and watching movie classics and you can’t forget tree lighting.

FREE EVENT ALERT! Bring the family and experience an afternoon of holiday festivities with host Fox 5 anchor Allison Seymour. Star-studded live performances include Grammy award winning singer, Chrisette Michele, Empire’s V. Bozeman and singer and songwriter Adrian Marcel. The dynamic artists of Step Afrika! and Washington Performing Arts Children of the Gospel Choir, will sing, dance and share the spirit of the season. The man of the hour, Santa, and Ballou High School Marching Band will count down to the reveal of the holiday windows!
Following the unveiling the excitement continues inside with the exclusive meet and greets, arts and crafts, photos with Santa and light bites with Texas De Brazil. With any $75 or more Macy’s purchase take home a pair of tickets to Step Afrika!’s Magical Musical Holiday Step Show.

What are some of your favorite family traditions for the holiday season? Do you watch Charlie Brown all cuddled up in the living room or decorate sugar cookies to give out to friends? Does the whole family wear matching clothes and go take pictures with Santa?

  3. Stacie @ Divine Lifestyle

I think a holiday event at Macy’s would be so much fun! Macy’s has meant Christmas for as long as I remember.

  4. Jeanette

Sounds like fun! I live too far away to see it myself, but I will have to see if there is something like that this here. It would fun to take the family to.

  9. Chubskulit Rose

  10. Annemarie LeBlanc

We have to find a way to be able to experience this parade. It sure looks like fun! I love watching parades. Takes me back to the time when I was a kid.

  11. Shawana

We do have family traditions that includes a massive gift exchange and wearing matching PJ’s for our Xmas slumber party. This year we’re switching things up and going on vacation for the holiday. Macy’s is one of my favorite stores.

Now this absolutely sounds so much fun – this is so hard to miss! I have to check if it’s also happening in my area.

Thanks for this list of events. I’m not going to lie. This is the first time in SEVERAL years that I’ve been excited about the holidays. I don’t know if it’s because we’re in a new house, my family is together again, or just general gratitude. Thank you for adding to my excitement for this year! #BLMGirl

  14. Tanay

I’m so excited for this. I want to take RJ but hes still so young I feel like he wont even care lol. But you know NYC is THE city for all the Macys events. The holiday season is my favorite!

We go downtown every year to see the Macy’s windows on State Street. It is one of our family traditions along with sending our letters to Santa in the big red box in Macy’s.

These sound like fun events. I love to bake cookies and give them to friends as gifts.

I love the magic of Macy’s! They have amazing deals, but they never have anything cook like this in my area.

  27. Ty

I’m bummed out! I would have loved to attend this with my son but their aren’t any in Southern Cali. Oh well, looks like a great event!!

  28. FabEllis

I absolutely love the holidays! It’s one of my favorite times of the year. As I was reading your post, I thought it was funny because I know a lot of people who have the tradition of new pajamas on Christmas Eve night. I’ve never done that before, but I think when I have kids, I definitely will want to try that one. I don’t have many traditions just yet since it’s just hubby and I, but we are developing the habit of rotating between families during the holidays so everyone feels loved. You know how that goes! 😀

  29. Christine @MomsNCharge

Every year I say, “wow, I can’t believe we’re already in the holiday season” and this year is no different. LOL I had no idea about this event but this looks like something the kids would love, so may have to try and check it out!

We’re not having any special events in my neck of the woods, but I am gearing up for the doorbusters that Macy’s is offering this Tuesday and Wednesday. I have my eye set on a non-stick pots and pans set.
