Christmas is next week and the excitement is increasing. The kids are still asking for things, they want to decorate everything, and the little one keeps asking if Christmas is tomorrow. Meanwhile I’m trying to buy Babe gifts and hide them around the house. Buying gifts for the men in your life is never easy. Sometimes it can be helpful to look at their career for some inspiration. For example, if your man is in the military you might be able to find a nice present over on the GiftUnicorn website. I’m excited and tired at the same time, gift giving is so important to me. I always want my gift to be the best gift you’ve ever had, no matter the occasion. Is Santa real, he is in my book.
My oldest is 11 and he no longer believes in Santa. Some jerk at school ruined it for him when he was 8. My little is only three and we believe right along with her. She has written a Christmas list, ready to be sent off and I’m so excited to see her face on Christmas morning when she sees her gifts. She has already started ‘pretend playing‘ with the gifts she hopes she’s going to get. Listen you can feel how you want about Santa but I firmly believe in providing the magic for my kids. They have a lifetime of adult worry as kids they will get the magic. The magic in our home goes something like this…
Our tree may appear to be leaning a tad; I think the topper is a bit heavy for that Charlie Brown branch its on. My daughter will stand in front of it and give me the fakest smile possible. lol
Babe won’t let me make our tree into one of those uber cute Christmas Dress trees I see on Pinterest so you make a mini version to fill the void. Cute right, I am the CRAFT QUEEN!
This is a sponsored post in collaboration with Talk to Santa; all opinions are my own.
Thanks to the great folks at Talk to Santa My Girl got a complimentary video call from Santa. She was so giddy. lol Santa knew the great things she’d done this year, the things she needed to work on, what she wanted for Christmas and more. This is the season of giving so I’m giving away one free Talk to Santa video call to one of my Cuties. I want to provide some of the magic this holiday season.
Go on a playdate with Mom & Dad to see the Smithsonian Zoo Lights it is FREE. I must say it was even more magical than I thought it would be. I thought it would be lights on fences; I had no idea they would go all out like this.
I love the way they incorporated the animals, I mean it is the zoo after all.
All I could think about was the Budweiser commercial.
I loved this one, so simple and classic.
They came and brought all of the magic.
Pretend like you don’t get motion sick so your daughter can enjoy the carousel for the first time.
Ride like pro even though your feet can’t reach the foot pegs.
