Kiss Mas Tree {Easy DIY}

Hey Cuties,

I’m in full on Holiday mode. I’m talking shopping; crafting and I plan to decorate this weekend. I came up with a fun craft to do with the kids to kick off our official holiday season. This is a fun one to do with the kids, you can give it as a gift or you can use it for table decor. I mean what is Christmas without some kisses? Plus #FatSnacks, you already know.

Supplies

The best part is you don’t need much to create this Kiss Mas Tree. I purchased this Styrofoam cone from the craft store.  You can get the height of your choice; just remember the bigger the cone equals more kisses you will need. Keep that in mind if you’re crafting on a budget. They have a variety of kisses out right now, the caramel are my favorite but I wanted festive wrapping so that drove my selection more than anything.

The gang is all here

I sorted my kisses as I attempted to do some sort of pattern. Your kids might derail your idea. lol When using a hot glue gun make sure you have something to protect your work surface. I use a plastic place mat; I got it out of the kiddie section some time ago and it was less than a buck.

Start from the bottom and work your way up.

This is a fun craft so don’t over think it; you’re working in layers/rows from the bottom to the top. Grab a chocolate and put some glue on the bottom of it, then attach it to your cone. You want to hold it in place for just a second. Don’t press to hard or you will melt your chocolate. Once you’ve completed the first layer keep moving on to the next row and work your way up.

My helper

Depending on the age of your children will determine their level of participation. My daughter is 3 and she can’t be trusted with a hot glue gun but she wanted to help. She handed me the chocolates one by one and I would put the glue on them and attach them to our tree. Once we got towards the very top I allowed her to be a little more hands on. Read: She was tired of just passing them to me and wanted in on the action. I put glue on the bottom of a chocolate and then let her put it in place. She was so proud and I was able to capture this cute moment.

Kiss Mas Tree!

I had dreams of making a fancy topper like a bow with cascading ribbon but my daughter wasn’t feeling that; so a simple Santa Hat kiss was it. It turned out really cute, this could be a cute gift to gift to your kid’s teacher. You can use it as center pieces for your holiday dinner and then give them away to your guest.
