Happy Good Friday Cuties,
If you haven’t picked up all of your Easter goodies click HERE and HERE for last minute ideas. We had a family filled Easter last year, I’ve not made any legit plans for this year so I guess we will wing it. What I am sure about is this #FATSNACKS FRIDAY!!!!! When I say I hope you’ve had a meal or are presently munching while you read. I’m looking out for your best interest. I want you to have nice things. If not, you will be 1. Hungry 2. Angry 3. Hangry. I’m just saying, it’s a thing look it up!
On Monday night the girls and I took a quick road trip to the NYC, yup. New York City here we are again. We had the honor of hanging out with the fine folks of the ABC show The Chew. More on that later… One might assume that if you’ve been at The Chew all day that you have probably eaten. ASSUME WRONG! Although we had an uber amazing time, and I do mean amazing we were hungry as a hostage. But never fear duh, because MimiCuteLips is here and that means food will be procured, deliciousness will take place, pants will be opened and you will be happy. Feel free to book me on your next travel, like seriously I don’t mind like at all.
After a dope day at The Chew I took the girls over to Cafeteria. This was my second time there and it was still just as good as the first. FUN FACT: The show Sex in the City filmed a scene at this restaurant. They are opened 24 hours and even at 1 AM there is a line out of the door.
I am not this kind of girl, to my knowledge this was my first time eating brussel sprouts. They look like little baby cabbage and I love cabbage but brussel sprouts just never sound like something I needed. The girls loved them so I decided to give them a go. 1. I can now check brussel sprouts off my bucket list. 2. They did actually taste pretty good. 3. I still don’t see myself having them again. lol
I had the mac and cheese with smoked Gouda and bacon the first time. So I knew off the top I was going to have it again; even though I had my heart set on breakfast food. Because skinny fat. We decide to get the sampler as an appetizer so we could all get a good taste. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! I had a side order to go, it travels well, I’m just saying.

Fried Chicken and Waffles: Cheddar Tabasco Waffle, Crispy Sage, Grilled Lemon, Chili Butter and Maple Jus
You already know that Chicken & Waffles gives me that warm and fuzzy feeling. It was so good the first time that I had to have it again. FUN FACT: My day isn’t the same if I don’t have breakfast food. Although it was mid-day I had to have breakfast food. Maybe its my OCD, I don’t know but I just do. I really wanted the fried chicken but they don’t sell it alone so this was the answer.
I had to try something I hadn’t had before, now technically the brussel sprouts covered that but they are brussel sprouts. That can’t be my story so I added these amazing Lemon Ricotta Pancakes to my gut. I was hesitant about the Ricotta because that doesn’t go with pancakes. However I’m glad I stepped outside of my box and went for it. THEY WERE FREAKING AMAZING. I’m talking repeat eruptions of delicious all in your face hole.
The Doughnut Plant is a NYC staple as far as I’m concerned. I’ve been coming here for years now. It is always good and you should totally check them out. They specialize in non-traditional flavors. The Tres Leche is one of my favorites.
Carrot Cake is my THANG which is funny because I don’t like carrots. Whateve! This doughnut is what dreams are made of. They shoot the “cream cheese frosting” around the inner ring of the doughnut YESSSSSSSSSS! FUN FACT: The bathroom in the Chelsea location is a stone cold party. Even if you don’t need to use it just go for the experience.
Enjoy this weekend with or without your family and friends doing whatever it is that makes you happy.

I happen to like Brussel Sprouts – as long as they are not overcooked. But those doughnuts! Now, that’s more my speed. Carrot cake is a fave, so I know I’d love that doughnut.
Alli it sounds like they were totally made for you.
OMG! The carrot cake donut looks great, as does the pancakes 🙂 . I was “oh hell no” when l saw the first plate. I didn’t know what they were till l saw your description. I am pretty sure l can check it off my list without having eaten them 😉 . I love waffles too.. 🙂 .
Hahhahahah Kem, you are my kind of gal.
Fatsnacks looks like a must eat or sensation when you grab a great bite. These choices all look really tasty.
You are so right Franc.
I’m absolutely loving your #fatsnacks phrase. I am all about snacking on delish things so I will most definitely have to keep up with your posts. Yum!
Hahahaha, thanks Amanda food should be enjoyed by the soul.
Omg. That food. I am so hungry now! You are so right… even at the tasting table, you leave there starving. I’ll be checking out Cafeteria on my next trip 🙂

Very good post! Everything looked delicious!
Thanks.
You know every Monday, I’m like today Im going to eat healthy, then I come here and you have amazing fat snacks posted! I want those pancakes, that donut and those chicken and waffles.
Hahahahaha Donna, I burst out laughing. I’m giving up soda in April because I need to get myself together.
Those crispy brussels sprouts look so delicious. I want to try to make those at home. And those lemon ricotta pancakes would make any breakfast pure perfection! Delicious!
Oh Jenn try them out, I need to try and make some at home.
Okay, I’m loving the looks of those Brussel Sprouts! They’re not all bad, but still, those ones look much tastier than the ones I usually make!
Hahhhahahahahaa Megan.
One of the things I love about New York is all the amazing eating!! I have not been to that restaurant a line at 1 am sounds crazy!
Vera, it totally sounds crazy; you know this is the city that never sleeps.
Girl, you stay making me hungry! This Brussel sprouts look so tasty! So does…. EVER FREAKING THING!
I know, I stay eating. Can’t go wrong with NYC, you know that.
Wow. That mac n’ cheese… I would eat all three of those pictured. Lol. The best mac n cheese I’ve ever had was in NYC, too. SO jealous you got to go to a taping!
Oh tell me more Alexandria.
Cafeteria is my old stomping grounds! I use to work right across the street. The mac was always at my table. They didn’t have the brussells when I was there. (MJ)
Oh wow, girl I would be huge if it was across the street from my office. You can miss out on the brussel sprouts, that is okay.
I need to try chicken and waffles.
I am with you on Brussel sprouts. I haven’t tried them and don’t care too. I’m not a fan of cooked cabbage either.
The pancakes look so good too.
You can’t go wrong with chicken and waffles and pancakes.
Goodness me. I should have eaten breakfast before looking at this post. This all looks so amazing. Such a wonderful and delicious mix of foods too!
Jeanine, you know I like to pull at the gut strings. lol
You’re right – I shouldn’t have read this while hungry. Everything looks so good – even the Brussels sprouts! I’m amazed by the cream cheese frosting INSIDE of the carrot cake donut. Freakin’ genius!
I tried to tell you Dana. lol How is it that nobody else thought to do that with the donuts.
I want to really try the lemon ricotta pancakes! they sound more like a dessert than a breakfast food! I am trying hard to stay healthy too, but have a weakness for sweets! New York is really a fun place to be..
Vidya that is a great way to put them. The pancakes are both dessert and breakfast at the same time.
So much amazing food… There is so much I wish I could go to NYC and try right now. That donut especially though. That thing is HUGE!
Cassie that doughnut was all kinds of the truth.
Those pancakes look amazing. I love ricotta pancakes. We are a fan of DP and was so happy when one was brought to BK so we didn’t have to troop to the city. I need to try roasting my brussel sprouts like that
Kim they will change your life I promise. Give them a try and let me know how it goes.
All of this food looks amazing!!! I am a total foodie and was so impressed with the food and restaurants in New York. I’ve been there 3 times and not once did I have something I did not thoroughly enjoy!
I’m totally with you on that. I’ve lucked up with great grub every time.
Oh my gosh, this looks amazing. I’m so jealous you are only a road trip away from NYC. I went for the very first time last month, and fell in love. Next time I come I’m searching for the spot those there Chicken and Waffles were created.
You totally should Cynthia. New York is my favorite city for sure.

I can’t do spicy myself, but give me some regular fried chicken and I’m so on.
Oh my! These look so decadent and delicious! I need that carrot cake doughnut in my life. I swear everything on here is calling my name (the brussels sprouts are only whispering, though, lol).
