This year I’m all about being in charge of my own time. Doing what I want to do and being more intentional with my time. The kids are on spring break and we decided to just stay home this year. Staycations can be a lot of fun if done right; so we decided to spend the day with them doing something they would enjoy. If you are in the DC Area and or a Wizard of Oz fan come close, no closer, like seriously come all the way close.
In life we make time for what we want and who we want. Now that I’ve decided to let go of a few things, I’ve shifted my focus and priorities. I also need to work on my time management, we’ll talk about that a little more, or not. But today I made time for my family, this dope party of four. My calendar is frequently full and I get comments like “How do you do it all?” The truth is simple, I make time for what I want and you should do the same.
And I like to be real stylish about my time, no matter what I’m doing. Thanks to the great folks at Jord, they do wood watches like no one else. Keeping with the wood theme we took the kids to Watkins Park to play. If you’re struggling to choose a new watch, Hotrate reviews can be really helpful.
Within the park is the Old Maryland Farm, they are home to this big fluffy bunny. He was really cute and he had lots of bunny friends.
As not to be out done by the bunny cuteness they had several beautiful peacocks. Did you know that peacocks are boys and girls are called peahens? I had no idea, school #fail.
I had to talk my son into taking this picture and the pony kept getting closer. He was smiling but was totally nervous laughter. They also had cows and donkeys in with the horses.
This watch is very light weight and I freaking love it. So much so I forget that I’m even wearing it. It was sized just for my baby size wrist and that makes me love it even more. More important than comfort is style. Y’all know I like to be cute and stuff. This means my accouterments must be equally stellar.
My watch is the Ely Maple which is the natural color of the wood. It has been conditioned with natural Tung oil to prevent cracking. Jord offers this watch in several types of wood, you know because we need options. Fun Fact: Maple wood in this watch comes from Northeastern North America and made from the outer rings, also known as sapwood.
We had a good time at the farm, now it’s time to play. Note: This is a farm not a petting zoo.
How else do you expect to enter Oz. Duhhhhhh the yellow brick road.
Come on and ease on down, ease on down the road.
This place is freaking magical, the ground is made of foam it seems. It’s soft and gives a bit. This is perfect for the little’s that haven’t quite mastered balance.
Can’t have Oz without Emerald City.
If you’re going to do the theme, then do it all the way.
With a bit of encouragement Nori climbed her way into Emerald City.
I’m pretty sure I grew up dreaming of sliding down a high heel pump. I just know I did.
We had a great time; I look forward to bringing the kids back again.
I love attention to detail; I was already excited to receive this watch. What I didn’t know is how dope the packaging would be. I’m so keeping this wooden box, because cute. The box just so happen to match my watch perfectly. Then it was wrapped around this cute little pillow that says Jord. Y’all know I love things with my name on it. Kudos to Jord for killing this branding game. I do however, still want a high end watch from somewhere like https://www.watchshopping.com/panerai/, I’ll have to save up first!!
Put your name on everything.
Disclosure: I was sent this dope watch from Jord Watches in exchange for my review. You know I only keep it real.
