My daughter loves doing those type runs – fun and dirty. I love seeing all the different costumes and it’s nice to see that it supports a great cause. Have fun!

    • MimiCuteLips

Alli the costumes are hilarious. I’ve seen some pretty crazy ones myself. I’ve never worn anything more than a tu-tu. I love that it supports a great cause.

  2. Kita

I hear this race is so much fun but I just can’t do the mud. I can not! Have fun doing it. Can’t wait to see the pics.

    • MimiCuteLips

Kita, I was worried a little the first time. Honestly you get as muddy as you want. I only had mud from my knees down.

  3. Tomiko Harvey

My next blog is on the one San Antonio!! It was so awesome

  4. http://foodfashionandflow

Looks like an interest event. I have a few friends that do mud runs and I have always wondered how they are. I don’t think I would ever do it…LOL

  5. Pam

I have seen a lot of ads for and blog posts about mud runs. They look like a really fun twist on the usual race!

    • MimiCuteLips

Pam they are a lot of fun, I’ve done them in the mud, at night, with colored paint. It really adds to the experience.

  6. Stacie

I’ve heard that you have to be pretty fit to do these runs. Looks fun, if you don’t mind a lil mud.

    • MimiCuteLips

Not at all, I was in zero shape for the first 5k Mud run I did. It made me want to do better so I started working out after.

  7. Chris Lewis

I have heard so many good things about these runs. Talk about a great bonding experience when you run with a team!

  8. Heather P

I am not into running events, but this looks like a blast! Perhaps this year is the year to get dirty😄

  9. Liz Mays

That sounds like a blast! It will definitely be intense but I love the idea of people showing up in cute costumes.

  10. Antoinette

This looks like a great time, and I love that the event is supporting such a worthy cause. Have an awesome time.

  11. Brittany

This looks like so much fun. I love that it’s all girls too 🙂

  12. Jenn

How fun! These photos, make me wish I was a runner. I’d love to be this in-shape. Something I need to work on.

    • MimiCuteLips

You can start out as a walker, you don’t have to be a runner. Just have the goal to finish, women will help you out along the way.

  13. Gwendolyn Mulholland

This looks like a lot of fun but I don’t think I could do it. I am not a big fan of mud and being dirty but it would be nice to say I had done it.

    • MimiCuteLips

The first time I did it, I did it for that reason. It was a bucket list type of deal. I wanted to say I’d done it. Especially because people were shocked that I had.

  14. Chantal

I love it, looks like you girls had a great time! I have been wating to do a mudrun for a few years now but still haven’t.

  15. Franc Ramon

i also did a mud run before and its really fun. We also had obstacles to make it challenging.

  16. Ty

I have seen these events and have always felt inspired because of the cool costumes. Not sure…scratch that…I know it’s not for me but very cool beans that you participated.

    • MimiCuteLips

hahahahahaha Ty, you don’t know until you try. I was the same way before. I don’t do the costumes much but they are fun to look at.

  17. MJ

Girl have a blast! I hear this race is so much fun but I just can’t do the mud. Maybe I should throw caution to the wind!

  18. LaShawn

I have a friend who has been trying to get me to do this race forever. But I’m such a girly girl and I’m like…but there is mud….LOL

    • MimiCuteLips

I feel you, trust me I do. I was that girl. However mud is good for the skin, girl the spa is charging you $100 for a mud bath naturing is serving it up for free. hahahaha

  19. Allison Jones

This looks like SO much fun! I especially like that this one is “no pressure.” Good luck and have fun! I would join you if I were in your area.

  20. Toya

I think these races are so cute, well be for the mud lol. I just don’t think I could handle mud in my hair…

    • MimiCuteLips

I don’t have much hair to worry about but you could totally over it up. Put a shower cap on and then a hat or bandanna over it. I certainly see women do that all the time.

  21. Michele D

Oh my goodness, this looks like so much fun. Go girl power! I wish they had something like this in Florida. The name alone, Dirty Girl Mud Run screams unity. Love it!

  22. Up Run For Life

This sounds like so much fun. I am not quite ready to run yet. I’m still struggling with chronic pain. I’m hoping that in a few months that I can slowly increase my fitness activities.

  23. Joanna

I have YET to do a 5k. This looks like so much fun. More about teamwork. I’d love to do something like this with my girls.

i love these kind of events especially when they are for a good cause.. i am sure everyone had great time there

  25. Kirstin N. Fuller (@thetravelindiva)

Looks like a cool fun event! You are going to have mud everywhere for days…lol It’s for a great cause so it’s going to be fabulous fun!

  26. T. Espinoza

Wooot! I can’t wait. I don’t actually plan on running through the course though… more like prancing. Like a diva 🙂

  27. Kiwi

I did the Color Run and I thought it was dirty but yeah this is messy!!! Wow I cant wait to see your recap on this!

    • MimiCuteLips

Kiwi I love the Color Run, I’ve done it about three or four times. I was messier doing that then my previous mud run.

  28. Joyce Brewer

I’ve never done a mud run, but I know people who’ve done them and the runs where they spray you with colored paint.
I’d be so worried about getting mud out of weird places on my body.

    • MimiCuteLips

Hahhahaha Joyce, I’ve done them all before. Oddly enough that didn’t happen, protection is key. I like to wear athletic underpants that are tight like spandex. That keeps things out of unwanted places.

  29. Jasmine Watts

Looks like an interesting event and so much fun! I will share this posts with my friends and I’m sure they would love doing such runs!!

  30. Adrienne

This is great! I did a military mud run a couple of years ago and it took back-to-back showers to get all of the mud off of me. It was such a blast, but the drive home covered in mud (trying not to ruin my car’s interior) was too funny. Congrats on finishing! #blackgirlsrun (o:

    • MimiCuteLips

I prep the vehicle before I even start a run. I also bring a change of clothes with me so I can bag up the dirty ones until I get home. I believe in putting a towel and or blanket over your seat to protect the leather.

  31. Hannah Adkins

It looks like the race was a ton of fun, and messy! I would definitely bring a change of clothes!
