As promised this is my second recap of my full weekend. After being all Glam on Friday I quickly turned into Damn on Saturday. I finally had my chance to participate in the Dirty Girls Mud Run. I’ve been in the gym pretty regularly so I felt good although I hadn’t been running. This race wasn’t timed and it was girls only so I knew I would be good.
The real battle was mental; how do you keep going with all of this mud in my who-hah while swinging from objects. I thought I would get muddy, but I underestimated them. In-spite of all of that The Style Medic and I had a freaking good time. We had some real gut busting laughter.
I created another video that summarizes this post.
It is going to get dirty…
The first thing to note is we finished and received our medals we totally earned. The second thing to note is I aint no punk. Make no mistake I am a pretty face but I’m much more than that. I will serve you up and talk junk to you at the same damn time.
This entire experience is all about having pictures or it didn’t happen. We arrived, we were clean, we were ready.
Then I saw bubbles and this happened.
This was our first run in with the mud. I tried to do it as clean as possible. The man told me I was too clean.
This is the second muddy creak we’ve been in. We jumped over a fire pit, played hop scotch with a huge moon bounce. Climb up a moon bounce step situation thing and crawled into a moon pit.
None of the obstacles required you to be skilled in anything other than common sense. They weren’t really hard and didn’t try to kill you. They were a lot of fun though. Notice a recurring theme?
Even while running in the woods, doing random obstacles and splashing around in mud I am always thinking about having a big butt. It is who I am, deal with it.
Let me make sure I get this right. You want me to lay all the way back with my feet in the air? While the young man at the bottom splashes the slide with buckets of muddy water. Oh okay…
We fell out laughing like crazy people. We had mud in our teeth and everything.
We came, we saw, we got dirty and we conquered this Dirty Girl Mud Run!
I decided to keep some of my runway makeup on for the mud run. I only kept the eyes because they look so good; and because cute.
And then this happened so umm yeah…
I’m totally doing this again next year.
