What You See Will Make You Adore Fall Headbands

Hey Cuties,

We’ve arrived to another Hump Day Wednesday. I am co-hosting a Game Night with Babe this weekend so I’m working on some party details. I will recap for you on Monday. Babe has a solar return tomorrow so I need to make sure the kids and I shower him with lots of things that will annoy him love. LittleCuteLips took her Halloween costume for a test run at an event last Saturday and I need to make some adjustments to that. I woke up to 32-degree temperatures y’all. Mother Nature done straight up punched us in the guts. I need to get our fall lives together. The kids didn’t wear hats, I didn’t have on tights, a mess. LittleCuteLips has been fussing about her hair accessories because she is a girl and that is what we do. Some of her hair bows need repairing {read glue gun fixing} and she keeps asking for headbands.

I made her a really cute headband for her costume. If you follow me on social media then you saw it already. So I decided to make her a few more, after a while my headbands give me headaches. They are cute but they hurt, why do they hurt? I decided to come up with a painless solution for her. Hell DIY!

Colorful Felt

I picked up a ten sheets of felt in a variety of colors. I tried to get colors that would be complimentary to one another. Each sheet was about $0.35 each and I had a 20% of your total purchase coupon. Got-em!

Fall Embellishments

My original plan was to make these but I found this pack in Target for a couple of bucks and saved myself some time. You can easily print out a template of the flower shapes of your liking and trace them onto your felt.

Layout is key and I wasn’t sure what I was going for so I just kept moving the pieces around trying out different colors until I was content with what I had. I cut out a grey piece of felt and use that as a backing so to speak. I used a Sharpie to draw lines on the flowers because it gave them a little personality.

A little razzle dazzle

I secured the pieces to my base, I added in a few acorns to complete the fall theme and added in gold glitter paint.

Model: LittleCuteLips

All done! I went for an elastic headband to keep her from taking it on and off all the time and so it doesn’t give her a headache.

Satisfied Daughter

We both loved the way it turned out. She is so excited to wear it to her Fall Festival.

What a cute headband! I have those same fall embellishments from Target. I used them to scatter around the centerpiece for a fall bridal shower. I may have to repurpose those things and make a headband.

You are so creative! I would love to try this with some of Little Miss Sunshine’a headbands – she has a ton – for everyday wear just to switch it up some. But alas, the way my DIY skills are set up I’m not confident in the outcome šŸ˜©. Good job Mama!

Aghhh I love it! I really want to hop on the headband trend and start sporting some outfits with my hair but I was worried it was a summer thing. You’ve reminded me to just keep rocking on. LittleCuteLips looks so precious and if I were her I’d rock it all season long.
