It’s Here, Powerful Cars, Simplistic Designs and More

Hey Cuties,

Last week my all girl crew (She Buys Cars Influencers) took over the Washington DC 2017 Auto Show Media Day.  Did you know that women influence 80% of auto purchase? Most women would say they aren’t into cars but you are and you don’t even realize it. We spent a lot of time in our cars, coming and going with your girls, your Boo and or your kids. Don’t you want all of the dope functions to make your car experience better? Yes you do, and you should, that is why you are so influential to the auto industry. So the next time you say “I’m not a car type of girl” think again.

The Washington Auto Show Media Day was sponsored by SheBuysCars.

Washington Auto Show

My first media badge of the year.

My first media gig of 2017 is done.  I never get tired of seeing my name in print. I’m not sure why my media badge says exhibitor, but whateve.

Washington Auto Show Media Day

Auto Show Media Day

The Washington Auto Show is the largest public show in the DMV area.  The auto show isn’t just cars; it is entertainment, art, fashion, contest and family friendly fun. They have over 600 new models from over 35 manufacturers and live painting demos.

WAPA, President Les Jackson, HARMAN, CEO and President Dinesh Paliwal & She Buys Cars Owner Scottie ReissWhile we munched on breakfast we listened to Les, Dinesh and Scottie talk about the new normal we can come to expect in a few short years. Some of us already consider our vehicles to be our mobile office, well they are about to turn our dreams into a reality and then supersede it.  They already have Wi-Fi in vehicles, they have app on your touch screens, cameras all over. Now think TV’s built into the glass of your windows. Noise canceling vehicles so you can take your calls and the other party no hear the firetruck going by.

LaSalle

You can’t go wrong with a classic and this 1935 LaSalle Series 50 Convertibles Coupe was a beauty. I immediately thought of summer nice, jersey knit dresses and Babe driving. Not me because I look much cuter on the passenger side of the vehicle.

Washington Auto Show

Hyundai Ioniq

Hyundai had a fun demo on autonomous driving. The idea is exciting and makes my nerves bad at the same damn time. I hate driving long distances and so this would be amazing. The sensors know when to turn when to break when to avoid a collision and all of that is amazing.  The censors even know what color the stoplights are so it can take appropriate action.  The other part of me feels like the world is already lazy. You already complain about cell phone use, not we don’t have to pay attention at all.

Washington Auto Show

Hyundai SantaFe

Are you ready for some football? The Super Bowl is Sunday, who you with? My New York Giants are at home watching from the sofa so I’m cheering for the Dirty Birds aka Atlanta Falcons. Did you know Hyundai was the official sponsor of the NFL? They totally are, why? #BecauseFootball

Washington Auto Show

Genesis

Meet one of the two dope Genesis at the show. Genesis is still under Hyundai but they’ve branched out into their own lane. They are now the luxury brand line of Hyundai. {Peep the signage in the back} They have thought of everything with these two models. I’m talking vanity mirrors in the back seat on each side so you too can put on your lipstick with ease. The rear seats recline in case you want to nap on your next road trip. WHAT! They have nine airbags because safety. They have a radar in the grill for added safety features; like the pedestrian prevention. Sorry, folks, you don’t get to collect $200 and bonus points for hitting someone in this car. It won’t happen on their watch.

MimiCuteLips in a MINI

My dream car was here waiting for me and I made sure I got in some us time. Drop the top and lets ride.

My future

I am adding this MINI is my goals list for 2017. You will see me riding, what is there not to love about this? Perfect size for MI + my handbag or Mi + Babe or Mi + LittleCuteLips or Mi + Man-Child or Mi + my handbag +the wind in my face. Yassss!

2017 Lincoln Navigator

If this Lincoln Navigator came with music it would be seductive as hell. This is a fine piece of machinery right here. It oozes style and luxury and I was drawn like a moth to a flame. They had it roped off too and that added to the appeal.

Pop the side

My life doesn’t call for a vehicle this size but I would put this baby to work.  Peep the door action.

ZH2 Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle {FCEV}

This ZH2 Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle was quite interesting; it was developed by General Motors for the Army.  They will test and evaluate the preparation of Fuel Cell power in military-like environments.

The Washington Auto Show Audi

Audi R8 Spyder

This is one good looking set of wheels. Audi is always stylishly classic.

The Washington Auto Show KIA Soul

New Friends

I had to take a picture with the KIA Soul Hamster. It is so cute and fun, plus he looks crazy lifelike.

The Washington Auto Show Hyundai

Craig & ‘Em

Our personalities are naturally electric and people are like moths to our flame. It happens everywhere we go without even trying. Craig from Hyundai gave us a great tour around the showroom.  He is loads of fun; I love to meet people that enjoy what they do.

The Washington Auto Show

Kate Spade Fitness Tracker

Every year SheBuysCars has a social media contest while we enjoy media day. I WON!!! I would this super cute Kate Spade Fitness Tracker. I didn’t even know designer fitness trackers were a thing but this is so me. I will admit ever since I got it I’ve been getting up and moving around. I’m killing this step game. The day of the show The Style Medic told me we logged 13,000+ steps. KILLER!

Branding always on point…

That is a wrap for the Auto Show media day in Washington, DC.  This is pretty much the pose I had most of the day, I was caught doing what I do best covering an event. Peep that tote bag though, MimiCuteLips is always on brand.
