Did You Know They Are Putting North Cap On The Map?

Hey Cuties,

Last week I spent my Thursday listening to live music and eating everything in view. I was out on the town by myself, by town I mean North Capitol Main Street in Washington, DC. I was in heaven I mean, I was at the Taste of North Capitol. I wasn’t sure what it would look like, but man it was cool. The weather was perfect, it had the perfect breeze in the air.

I received a complimentary ticket to this event, however, I was not required to write this recap.

Taste of North Capitol was a chance for the locals of the North Capitol corridor could experience the great things within the community. So many times we take our own backyard for granted, this was exposing you to your own backyard. It was such a smart idea, what if a ton of business owners in your area got together in one space and shared their product with you while live music plays in the background? Dope right, that is exactly what this was coupled with raffle prizes, lots of laughter and full guts.

Giving out keys to the corridor

The committee members of North Capitol were front and center along with Washington, DC Ward 5 Councilmen Kenyan McDuffie. They gave local heroes the key to the corridor. It was so cute and sweet to see this community come together and have a great time.  Tight knit communities exist among the Capitol of the United States.

Ok… so that taco?!?!?! *Drools* I agree that so many times we don’t even explore our own backyard. I’m one of those New Yorkers so clueless to so many things New York. Glad you got out and got a chance to try it!

That taco was drool worthy let me tell you. I lived in New York for seven years, it wasn’t until I left that I go back now and do all the tourist things.
