Hey Cuties,
The family and I kicked off the first weekend of December with some holiday cheer. We’ve not put the tree up yet but we had some fun at Six Flags Holiday in the Park. We went last year but it was so cold we couldn’t fully enjoy it. This year the weather was perfect.
Thanks to Six Flags for the complimentary tickets.
I snapped a picture of the kids and the big tree soon as we arrived. It was early in the day so the lighting hadn’t taken place yet. It was still beautiful and festive. Also my kids are getting so damn big, I just keep staring at them.
The Manchild got a cell phone for his birthday and when he whipped out his cell phone to take his first picture I insisted that I be in it, then the rest of the fam had to be in it too. Ha! This is our new teenage life.
After our selfie, we headed to the luncheon and ate graciously. Then we were treated to a Holiday Show, filled with some of our favorite Christmas songs. You know I was singing and clapping along. After that, we headed off to the park.
You can’t go to the amusement park without taking a picture with the characters. Listen, Linda, the shorts on this reindeer was one of the highlights of my day. They so so freaking tight that I giggle every time I look at them. The random girl in the picture works at the park. I’m not sure why it was necessary for her to be in our pictures but whateve. This is presently my new favorite picture of us. LittleCuteLips still doesn’t like the characters so I’m always her buffer.
Time for some rides, nothing crazy we aren’t roller coaster type of people. Plus it is winter, I don’t need to go that fast with all that wind blowing in my face. I also don’t believe in being spun around in a circle so Babe and the kids got on this one together.
Next up was a traditional carousel ride and a family selfie.
Please get into this ostrich I’m on.
Then we let the kids drive us around. The Manchild drove Babe around on the Antique Cars.
Then LittleCuteLips drove me around, she realized how hard it is to control a vehicle. At one point she was yelling HELP ME! It was funny to see her freaking out. She must have missed that track we were on that wouldn’t allow us to run anyone over.
It is getting later in the day and a bit cooler so we had to bust out our hats. We are seated and ready for the show. We forgot to include Babe in our selfie.
The shows are always corny yet funny. I always find myself laughing.
It is lit!
The S’Mores campfire pits were such a dope idea. They gave us complimentary s’mores kits so we could roast them over an open fire. Duh! We also used them to warm up. I’m just saying they are dual purpose.
We couldn’t leave without visiting the big house.
Christmas is my favorite time of the year; Christmas lights are my absolute favorite. It makes me feel like a kid.
LittleCuteLips told Santa what she wanted. I don’t know what she asked for but I hope she tells me so I can get it.
Six Flags always does such a great job rolling out the red carpet for us. Although we had fun, we also bonded over laughter and silly behavior. This was a great start to our holiday season.

This is beautiful. I love the holidays and what a great way to celebrate the Holiday season. I have to see if my local Six Flags offers this event. And what a beautiful family. Happy Holidays!
The holidays are my absolute favorite time of the year.
Looks like a thrill. The picture in front of the tree is lovely.
Thanks.
Looks like you and your family had a great time. I love how your refer to your son as the Manchild. So funny.
Ola it is the perfect summary of this teenage space. He is the size of a man and growing. Yet he is still so child like. It is the best of both worlds.
Looks like so much fun! That ostrich though lol don’t think I’ve seen one of those on a merry go round before.
Funny you say that Keisha, this was a first for me too. That is probably why I was so pressed to get on it.
That looked like a lot of fun! We haven’t been to six flags in a while, but I remember my middle son being obsessed with those cars.
It was good fun, we don’t do amusement parks often so it is always a real treat.
We’ve been to Six Flags for Halloween, but we’ve never been for Christmas. We live fairly close to the park, so it would be easy for us to go this year. Thanks!
Oh, Stacie check it out. They roll out all of the Christmas magic.
It looks like you and the family had a great time. We’ve never been to Six Flags for Christmas but we’ve been to Fright Fest. If that’s any indication, then Christmas at Six Flags is AWESOME!
Oh you guys need to experience Holiday in the Park. Fright Fest is a good one too.
This looks like so much fun. The amusement park near me, Worlds of Fun, has finally caught on to the idea of opening for the Christmas season. Silver Dollar City in Branson has been doing it for years. I’m glad to see other amusement parks do the same.
Nice, I think all of them should do it.
I’m glad that you and your family had a lot of fun. I feel a trip to Six Flags needs to happen for our family soon! You all seemed to enjoy yourselves!
For sure Bill, there is so much to do for all age groups and interest.
I’m totally loving the idea of spending holidays at the park. I have never done it before but I bet my family would totally be up for it.
It is a nice new tradition.
It sounds like you had a lot of fun! I’m glad the weather was better this year!
OMG, me too. The weather can make or break the experience.
I have never been to an amusement park during the winter months but it looks like it would be so much fun! I’m glad y’all got to have fun as a family!
You must check it out, they really go all out.
The lights and decor really set the tone. I still can’t get over how tiny the reindeer’s shorts are. Wow!
They do Elle, they are what really transforms the park. The shorts are hilarious, they must be three sizes to small.
I love when theme parks get festive for the holidays. I think Six Flags Over GA went all out too!
Me too.
Your pictures are beautiful! Looks like a really great time was had by all! We went to a 6 flags before and it was a lot of fun.
Thanks. We had a ball.
That looks like so much fun. I have always wanted to go to Six Flags. I bet it’s even better this time of year with the holidays coming.
Kathy, it is an amazing time to visit.
We went to holiday in the park in 2007. It was a ton of fun. I haven’t been back to Six Flags since then. With my back problems, I don’t think that I could ride very much now and walking all over the park would be difficult too.
That wouldn’t make for a great experience.
I can’t say that I have ever been to a Six Flags before. It looks like you went at the perfect time of the year. That tree is gorgeous!
Oh, wow. Amy they have so much. I love that they extend it to Halloween and Christmas.
Six Flags seems fun for all. I like how you allowed your little one to drive you around. It must have been scary and fun at the same time.
Girl, it was scary which is funny. I knew she was on a track but it was the craziest ride ever.
That looks really fun place! I love those beautiful Christmas lights.
There is so much holiday fun.
Oh wow! Wish we could have made it this year. They added some great things. My daughter would’ve loved the s’mores. Thanks for highlighting everything. Gonna have to try to make it before the fun ends.
The s’mores pit was such a great addition. It is so simple but so smart.
I would love to go just to see all of the decorations. They look gorgeous. It’s been too long since I’ve been there, I need to change that.
Terri you can totally go and just enjoy the magic. There is so much you can do without getting on any ride.
This looks like so much fun. I love visiting parks during holidays (mostly Halloween). I absolutely love amusement parks, but my husband and kids hate riding anything, so it would be a waste.
Oh, no. Terin you have to find your own amusement park crew.
Seems like a great family day! I have never been to six flags but have heard many things, wishing we had something like that where I live!
Amusement parks always make for great family fun.
We have annual passes to Six Flags Magic Mountain in California and it’s so much fun! We haven’t been yet during the holiday season with the fires happening, but would love to go at some point.
You should go, its no additional cost because you have a season pass.
Mimi, you have such a beautiful family!! This looks like such a fun event to attend and hopefully I can try it out before the season ends!!
Thanks, I love hanging out with them.
I have never been to a Six Flags park before. Can you believe that? It looks like a great place to visit and a lot of fun, though!
Oh wow, Dawn. Put that on your bucket list for 2018.
I can’t think of a better way to get in the holiday spirit! Great photos and glad you had such a good time. Six Flags rocks!
Thanks, it is an awesome way to get into the spirit.
