Hey Cuties,
How is this fall weather treating you? Ours is a bit all over the place and wet. On Saturday, it dried up a bit for us to go to Cox Farms, in Centreville, VA. I took the ManChild to this farm when he was around 5/6 years old and loved it. It is massive and there is so much to do. This time we were 13 deep. Five adults, and eight kids.
We lucked up because most of the other local farms were closed for the winter. This weekend was Cox’s last weekend and they showed us a good time.
I had my own two, my daughters best friend, my two great-nieces, my sister’s Goddaughter and not pictured are The Style Medic’s two boys. I am proud to say we departed with the same amount we arrived with. The three kids under five were the most work. Followed up by the two busybody six-year-old’s one of which belongs to me.
In the above picture, the kids are standing at the top of hay tunnels. This is my youngest niece crawling in the tunnel. She was the perfect height because I was struggling to move around. The ground was wet so I didn’t want to get on my hands and knees.
Let me tell you a story about these two pictures. They summarize our relationship up very well. On the left was a really cute candid moment, a “Hey Babe turn around a smile” type of picture. The picture on the right is our life for real. Babe rides bikes so I already knew he was going to sit on these the minute he saw them. So I go and sit on the back and he says “we are going to do a wheelie” um okay. I didn’t know what that meant for me but he takes his butt and boots me off the back. The picture is my genuine reaction to his foolishness. This moment was followed by a ton of laughter.
Slides are a must!
Because he is silly like his Daddy. He came down the slide in a posed position and it was hilarious.
While the kids slide, the goat crosses over their head.
The Style Medic is my Dorothy to her Blanche, or my Rose, to her Sophia. We are a guaranteed good time. #FACTS
Mommy pig was exhausted and massive huge. Here are all of her little greedy babies knocked out sleep. The minute she got up they immediately attacked her boobs had some grub and went back to sleep. They are living their best life.
I love these two little busybodies. They were in full Auntie mode and only wanted to hold my hand. I love it when people fight over me. lol
Then we all got on the Hay Ride, that was my favorite part of the day. The Style Medic is holding my youngest niece and my Mommy is holding my sisters, Goddaughter.
The Hay Ride had a little bit of everything including horses that walked beside us at one point so the kids could rub them.
My ManChild and The Style Medic’s ManChild. Even the big kids had fun at the farm.
This was supposed to be a group shot of us on the Hay Ride. Except the young boy failed to get my Mom in the picture. Almost a perfect shot.
I realized that this was the first time I have seen sheep up close. This is the laziest life ever, they were laying in their food. They would eat and then nod off and then eat again. I’m jealous!
The ManChild was dragging serious knee. *sigh* he is getting so big. I love this kid, I swear I do.
I think we might make this a tradition every year. We do a lot of family things together but we don’t get outside a lot. Plus my Mama was here, I thought these type of days were gone when my sister and I became adults. It warmed my heart to see my mom out with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. We are four generations deep.

SQUAD!!!!! I like how y’all were 13 deep. Yes, please make this an annual tradition and that your mom comes back too. I love how y’all continue to do things as a family. I’m thinking of some kind of monthly family series where we hear what everyone thought of the adventure. I seriously adore your family because y’all put out such a positive image for our community. ❤️
I am, I love getting together with family and making memories. Tomorrow is not promised to any of us and I am reminded of that more and more each day. Thank you so much, I am only continuing the traditions that I was taught as a child. I want my kids to have amazing memories like I have.
Y’all had so much fun and you captured it! My fave was the pose at the end of slide that your son did. I probably would have done that. Lol
Girl! He is so silly, I laughed so hard.
We love Cox Farms and go every year, so much fun for everyone.
Oh wow, this is perfect for you guys. It is about an hour 45 minutes to an hour away for us.
This looks like fun!! I should take my kids there next year we’re in the DMV too.
For sure, you guys would have a blast.
Oh wow! It was a whole slew of you. I still can’t get over those pigs! They look real. I would have definitely done the slides.
Yes, we were so deep. Somehow we managed to keep up with everyone. We did most things together but let the bigger kids do a few things without the toddlers. The slides were so fun.
You five adults are good! The farm looks like it was a lot of fun. Now I have to check to see when the one near us closes. My daughter wants to go every year.
Girl, we felt it the next day but it was fun. GA weather holds out longer than ours.
I haven’t been to a farm since I don’t know when. You all look like you had the time of your lives. It’s nice that you got some many family members together for the outing.
Olen it had been a minute for me too. It sounds like you are due for a trip.
Aw, that really looks like you all had great fun! You and bae are too cute. Can I say I love that purple haircut too?!
Her purple hair is so popping.
How Fun!!! This farm looks like its worth the trip! DJ’s preschool goes to one every year and I took he and Emma one year but they only played in the corn, it wasn’t half the fun that this one looked like it was! This will definitely stay in your children’s memory forever!
We have several in our area, but I love this one because it is big. They have so many things to do.
What a festival fall activity you did with your family and friend. You all looked like you had such a fun time there!
I love a good fall festival and farm fun.
I love this! I really love how it’s a family outing. It looks like you guys enjoyed the farm.
It is was a lot of fun getting everyone outside the house.
This looks like it was so much fun! My momma pig. I can relate sis! LOL. I got a similar shot when we went to the farm here.
Awww, I love that. Girl, that momma pig put life in perspective, we have more in common than we realize.
This looks like so much family fun! Great pictures, I can tell everyone enjoyed themselves.
Thanks, we really did.
