Your girl has been busy, I’ve gotten my craft mojo going on all four cylinders. I haven’t been this creative in a minute, but it feels good. Crafting is the absolute best therapy for me, I block out the world and nobody and nothing exists. I let my imagination run free, and create dope things. This time I decided to bring you along for the ride. Buckle up and see how my shopping experience went down at JoAnn’s. I’m getting ready for my Galentine’s Day news segment, Valentine’s Day, and our couples ski trip. Oh, the love is deep!
(JoAnn totally picked up the bill for me. Thanks, Friends!)
I am someone who operates from an idea. My inspiration comes from any and everywhere. Valentine’s Day is rather specific, so the color palette is a given. However, I needed to decide what that would look for me. So I solicited my bestie, The Style Medic for a Saturday of JoAnn hopping and cocktail sipping. Also, she buys into all of my foolishness and you need a rider like that in your life.
JoAnn Galentines Day Haul
First off this yellow is popping, it looks so good with the pink and red I’m just saying. As a crafter, I often fall in love with a lot of things and I’m left having to make a decision. My process is to collect all of the things and then do a sort before hitting the register.
Shopping Tip: If this is for an event you should already have an idea in mind. If you are shopping for an event keep the number of guests in mind, you want to make sure you have enough for each guest and a few extra is nice.
You know my #FatSnacks are very near and dear to my heart so I must have some desserts. Also branding… February is MimiCuteLips season, I can get lips on everything thing. Just like these silicone molds, they are great for a variety of treats.
Place-mats may seem like an old school idea, but they are a great way to fancy up your table setting situation. You can also use them as a runner type of deal down the middle of your table. Don’t be afraid to use items for non-traditional purposes.
Are you the ribbon type? Ribbon is a great way to elevate a basic design.
Here is a sneak peak at what I purchased. I can’t wait to show you what I’ve come up with.
Although most items were discounted I still had my coupons. You can save them from the mail (I do), and or download the app (I have). I have both because I stay ready. You don’t have to break the bank to have a nice soiree. But make it look reach honey. Thanks, JoAnn!
As promised after we shopped two JoAnn stores we grabbed lunch and a cocktail. My JoAnn Galentines Day Haul is a wrap. Stay tuned!
Tune in to Good Morning Washington, on Wednesday, February 12th at 9:45 to see me share my Galentine’s Day table-scape.
Here is a clip of the segment these items were purchased for.
