These blog post are about events I’ve attended in various cities and states. They can be community based events to very high profile events such as Essence Festival, The White House, Fashion Week and more. MimiCuteLips is active in her community and will travel for a greater experience. Some events may also include media trips.

The Biggest Comeback

Hey Cuties,

I worked The Biggest Comeback Event over the weekend, I'm talking 32 hours in two days. Add in 8 hours of sleep and that was me. I was a bit exhausted but I loved every minute of it. In a former life I did meeting planning and I absolutely loved it. It's been years since I've had a chance to do an event but I never lost my mojo.  I picked up right where I left off and it felt good. I think I might be on to something folks. Remember THIS.

This event was a very intense two day event filled with amazing speakers. Some of the speakers were in the room and others were online. You could attend in person or watch the entire event via a live stream. They had all options available okay. I was working so I couldn't sit in on all the speakers but three of them in particular left a lasting impression on me.

Hey Girl, how you doin? My name is Charlie last name Wilson.

Happy Friday Cuties!

This has been a slow week on the blog. I've snapped out of my funk but I lost my writing mojo.  I'm on the train headed to NYC to enjoy some R&R.  Who am I kidding, I will be in the streets all hours or the night shopping and hanging with my Blogger Boo's.  That is resting to me, I will eat my heart out and share all the fat snacks with you on the blog next week. To catch me in the moment make sure you follow me on Twitter & Instagram.

Corner Bakery Grilled Flats

Hey Cuties,

I am talking about food again, this time it's more healthy but still really good. Last week I attended a media event at Corner Bakery. Look any type of business can do a media event and when its food involved you best believe my face is in the place.  It has been crazy hot in the DMV area but Mother Nature was kind to us as we settled onto the patio of the Corner Bakery in Arlington, Virginia.

Event Recap: Runway Moms for a Cause – Tigerlily Foundation

Hey Cuties, The weather has skipped spring and gone straight to summer in the D.C. area. The social scene is really popping and you just can't do them all.  I had an amazing time at L~Shandi's 3rd Annual Runway Moms for a Cause {RMFC} Black Tie event in Crystal City, VA. All proceeds for this event when to the Tigerlily Foundation. Moms rocked some beautiful apparel and accessories by Studio D'Maxsi & Evelyn Brooks Designs and the lively Paul Wharton hosted the event.

Runway Moms for a Cause: Fashion & Charity

The 3rd Annual Runaway Moms for a Cause {RMFC} is taking place Friday, May 8th @ 7PM. This fashionable {Black Tie Event} philanthropic event will be held at the Westin in Crystal City, VA. This event is for philanthropists to have a say in issues that are sometimes overlooked. It's Mother's Day Weekend why not come out and support Moms and give to charity.

Rise Women Empowerment Tour DC

The Rise Empowerment Tour hit DC last weekend. The event took place in the Blackburn Center on Howard University's Campus.  I've lived here almost 30 years and I've never been on Howard's Campus.  This Tour is all about empowering women interested in entrepreneurship and looking for tips to take it to the next level. Each speaker was an existing black female CEO.  Bonus: The weather was perfect!

Alcantara & Earth Day

Hey Cuties,

Last week was a busy one for me I was being extraordinary every day. I teased a photo on FB/IG  about the amazing luncheon I had with Alcantara.  If you follow me I hope you saw it, If not you are tardy to this follow party.  Our luncheon took place at the Italian Embassy in DC. Chrisette Michele Pose ‘N Post Event {DC} & Interview

Hey Cuties,

The Pose 'N Post Symposium finally arrived in my city and I was worried about what I was going to wear. The weather was funky and rainy and not exactly warm so bare legs and toes were a no. I ended up with something comfy cute and my feet weren't hurting. Washington, DC was the fourth stop on their eight city tour. The event took place at the Hillyer Art Gallery, it is a unique contemporary art venue in Dupont Circle.  If you aren't familiar with the Pose 'N Post Symposium click HERE to catch up.
