Hey Cuties, I had a full weekend; I'm talking all kinds of full. I covered an event on Friday and Saturday; the Saturday event was kid friendly so I took my girl. The boys hung out at the National Science & Engineering Festival. Oh and we went to a Shoe Tying Class, I told y'all about that. I also decided to pay the kids when I need them to work for MimiCuteLips. I'll call them, paid interns of such; nothing crazy but a payment. This means I get all the photo opportunities I need and they will give me their opinions/feedback when necessary. I don't believe in paying for chores so this is a way for them to earn a coin. EARN is the keyword here.
Hey Cuties, I told you I took Nori to a Shoe Tying Class over the weekend. Yes a class that teaches you how to tie your shoes FOR FREE! Nori recently taught herself how to tie her shoes. Honestly I didn't know she had been teaching herself. She mentioned wanting to tie her shoes but I didn't put much thought into it. Apparently she was just determined to learn and did so quietly in her room. She is so my child.
Hey Cuties, I decided to change things up a bit today. I take tons of pictures; I have my entire life in film since I was in High School. That is when I fell in love with the camera; I'm talking 110 camera with a flash cube love. Since having children I've become even worse, I have their entire life documented in pictures. Babe will humor me every now and again but he isn't really about this life.
Morning Cuties, This year I'm all about being in charge of my own time. Doing what I want to do and being more intentional with my time. The kids are on spring break and we decided to just stay home this year. Staycations can be a lot of fun if done right; so we decided to spend the day with them doing something they would enjoy. If you are in the DC Area and or a Wizard of Oz fan come close, no closer, like seriously come all the way close.
Hey Cuties, I hope you've sprung forward and started your Sunday on time. Now Monday is here and I will need at least a week to adjust to the time. Despite the time struggle I am happy to have more hours of daylight. Spring break and Easter are only two weeks away. So I will be sharing a couple of Easter/Spring related DIY's.
Happy Leap Day Cuties, Shout out to those born on February 29th, your next turn up is in four years so make today count. Today we are getting ready for Dr. Seuss Day. Wednesday, March 2nd Dr. Seuss Day and everyone is invited to celebrate. Everyone should know who Dr. Seuss is no matter your age. Just in case you just landed on Earth today Theodor Seuss Geisel aka Dr. Seuss was a writer and illustrator known for his popular Dr. Seuss children's books. This day is filled with all things Dr. Seuss and reading, yes Read Across America.
Hey Cuties, How was the weekend? I spent my Saturday running around with Nori. She has quite the social calendar now, how did we get here? She had her first birthday party invite from daycare. It had a nature theme, but she was NOT for touching the animals. I did touch the chinchilla, it was so cute. Other than talking our heads off toddler parenting is chill right now. That older one... yeah well...
Hey Cuties, Today is the last day of Nori week on the blog. I shared five tips I learned about separation anxiety after her brother week on a weeklong field-trip. Then followed that up with her Minnie Mouse Birthday Party. Today we are doing a non-sponsored product review. My new four-year-old lives for un-boxing videos on YouTube. She would spend countless hours watching them if we allowed her to do so. So I allowed her to kind of do one herself. She got a lot of cool gifts for Christmas and we are still un-boxing them so the timing was perfect. She solicited the help of her big cousin and big brother.
Hey Cuties,We are back at the half way point of the week. Did you knock some things of your to do list? Do you have any plans for the three day weekend? Are you volunteering for the day on not a day off for MLK Day? Are you clubbing? Staying inside to fight with the kids since school is closed? What is on the agenda? Yesterday was Nori day, my girl finally turned 4; she has been waiting for a long time. Especially when you don't have a true concept of dates and time. It was a Minnie Annie type of day that went a little something like this...
