A Different World was the sum total of my college experience. So, this year I decided to honor my favorite HBCU. The one I learned so much from long before I was college age. 💋

My costume is from one of my favorite episodes. It was the Homecoming Gilbert Hall Step Show. Whitley @iamjasmineguy was creating the step routine, and Freddie @iamcreesummer couldn’t quite get it. They killed it though. ☺️

Today was exhausting. I had to gather a co-worker

Today was exhausting. I had to gather a co-worker (a real one, not the ones in my home.) who was hella rude in an email. I’m no longer giving passes for bad behavior in the workplace. 💋

He was a white man who hadn’t given his word choice enough thought before hitting send. After I called him out on it we had a frank conversation. I told him exactly where he went wrong in the email. After reading it over a few times he realized the error of his way. He genuinely apologized and didn’t excuse away his bad behavior. I told him I appreciated him coming to me and having the tough conversation. I guarantee you he will give his word choice more thought going forward. I have zero tolerance for disrespect of any kind. We teach people how we want to be treated. ✌🏾

Thanks for all the birthday love. My weekend has been incredible. A month ago I asked Babe to plan my birthday and make it special. He did in the best way possible.
