Hey Cuties,
Your girl is back on the tizzube, this time I am chatting about dope DIY Baby Shower gifts. I’ve made some really cute items and they are super easy. No crafting skills required. These are fail-proof so don’t worry. If you’re not sure about making something yourself, you could buy the items instead. If you’re like me, I’m always bucking for the best gift and I’m sharing my secrets.
My table was all set up and I was ready to go live. You can watch my segment below.
Veronica Johnson and I always have a good time.
DIY Onesies are supposed to be cute and fun not perfect. When they put the onesie on the baby it will remind them of Auntie… or God Mommy… or Uncle…. For the skull, I used a template and painted on the design. I can’t draw but now you can’t tell. I also used a stencil for the Cutie onesie in the middle. The little tuxedo onesie has a bow you can secure with craft glue and I used a Sharpie for the buttons. You can also use puff paint to put funny saying on the front as well. No pressure!
Wooden letters are a great way to personalize a nursery. You can use the baby’s name, initials or inspirational words. I used gold spray paint on these but you can also use multipurpose craft glue. Custom Converse are always a fan favorite at baby showers. The baby gets to be stylish in a custom sneaker and parents keep them as a dope keepsake.
DIY Gift Baskets are another favorite gift I like to give. If you aren’t sure what to get you can get a few items off the registry. Then order an item or two from a company like Darlyng & CO. They have unique baby items that Mommy and Baby will love. How cute is this Yummy Buddy Teether Plush Toy? While it is cute it is totally functional, it is chewable silicone that glows in the dark for toddlers to chew on. It also has a chewable bib and multiple sensory patterns for visual stimulation. We love the toys that keep them occupied. Plus toys are a great focal point for your basket.
Diaper Cakes make for cute decoration, they are a great gift and people will ogle your creativity. Believe it or not, they are easy to make.
For the sake of TV, I made a small one but you can make them much larger if you would like. The instructions are the same either way. Size 1 diapers are the bet to use for a diaper cake, how many you need, will depend on the size of your cake. Step 1: Roll each diaper individually and secure with a rubber band. I use the small bands that are used for hair, you can get a big pack for $0.99. Step 2: You can use a variety of things to secure your cake. If you are making this cake as a gift for someone else then I suggest using a bottle of wine for a base. Because all Mom’s need wine. Use a few flat diapers at the base of your bottle and secure with a rubber band. Step 3: One by one stand up your individually rolled diapers up under the rubber band. Keep going until you have made your circle on the bottom layer. Step 4: Keeping going, do every tier the same. As you move up you will skip step 2. Step 5: Since I used an open container I filled the inside of mine before working on the topper. Step 5: I put a second layer on the inside to fill it up. Step 6: Add ribbon around each layer to add some personality. You can use a variety of items as a topper. I used the Yummy Mitt Teething Mitten & Scratch Mitts.
The cupcake onesie is new to me and it is so freaking cute. It is simple to make, I gave you a step-by-step pictorial graphic so you can’t go wrong. Now I bet you can’t wait to put your baby into these cute gifts and bond over some baby songs.
