Hey Cuties,
I hope you’ve sprung forward and started your Sunday on time. Now Monday is here and I will need at least a week to adjust to the time. Despite the time struggle I am happy to have more hours of daylight. Spring break and Easter are only two weeks away. So I will be sharing a couple of Easter/Spring related DIY’s. Something I hope to start doing soon is embroidery! You can get some pretty cool Easter machine embroidery designs from Bunnycup Embroidery if you like me want to get started on this and decorate your house with your own handmade DIY project! However, for now, let’s get onto my most recent DIY’s.
My Segment included: A TuTu Easter Basket, Easter Bunny T-Shirt, Jelly Bean Topiary Tree, Easter Mason Jars, and a Chocolate Bunny Treat.
This is a really easy one, no craft skill experience required.
Materials: T-Shirt, Bunny stencil, Paint, Pencil w/ eraser & pom poms
T-Shirt: I got this one from Target, but you can get one from the place of your choice.
Bunny Stencil: You can Google and print out the shape of your choice, get the one I used HERE!
Paint: I already owned these but you can get from the craft store. I let my daughter select the colors. You can do one color or multiple colors.
Pencil: I used new pencils because the eraser was perfectly shaped. You and get one with a funky shape or use a regular one like I did.
Pom Poms: I picked this pack up from the dollar bin in Target. You can get them from any craft store.
I cut my bunny stencil out, taped it to the shirt and placed it in the middle. Place some paper or cardboard or something inside the shirt. This way the paint doesn’t stain the back too.
I allowed my daughter to pick her colors, she picked two of my favorite colors. {Pink & Yellow} The colors she selected looked really good together. I poured paint into the caps of the bottles they came in.
Dab the pencil eraser into the paint then get your dab on. You can make them all solid or a mixture of solid and faded type of prints. You have the freedom of expression.
Keeping adding your colors, I did each color one at a time. Then I layered some of them on top of one another. I liked the way it was shaping up as I was designing it.
I took my template off and I love the way it turned out. Pinterest fail avoided. I tried to make sure I had fair color distribution.
The last thing I had to add was the bunny tail. My girl decided she wanted this white one so I followed her orders. Feel free to get creative, you can get one in any color. I used fabric glue to attach the pom to the shirt.
Tah-dah, it came out super cute. My girl totally loved it.
