Hey Cuties,
Happy National Donut Day! I can’t think of a better day to celebrate #FatSnacks Friday than on this day. Last weekend I drug the family out to the Sugar Shack in Alexandria, VA. I had them on IG and I had to visit.
National Doughnut Day or National Donut Day is celebrated in the United States, on the first Friday of June. I was just in time.
We rolled up on the Alexandria, VA location of the Sugar Shack and we were greeted by this sign. I used to think that nobody could love Kanye, more than Kanye. Now, I don’t even think Kanye, likes Kanye.
The Sugar Shack is a really cozy and cute shop.
I love the opportunity to put my name on anything. Chalk walls are fun because you can leave a word. Also, my but and thighs look great. I’m just saying.
Clearly, the kids were deep in conversation.
LittleCuteLips had a chocolate covered glazed donut with sprinkles.
The Manchild had a Raspberry Cheesecake something or another. Either way, it didn’t last but a minute.
I can’t remember what I had, but it was not amazing. It was hard, and it did not taste fresh. I won’t be going back.
What I do absolutely love about the Sugar Shack DMV was the decor. How cool is this faux donut?
Another one…
This was my favorite, LittleCuteLips and I giggled about this one. They glued jellybeans on it and added LED lights.

I love the ambiance and feel of the place (from what I can see). Reminds me of a little place I used to go and chill at by myself in Chicago. Very cool that you wrote your name on the wall and yes, those jeans were looking great!??
Hahahahaha, I am immediately drawn to the feel of a shop. It is my mission in life to put my name on everything.
This is a really cute place. I love the donut decor. I probably would have gotten the chocolate covered donut with sprinkles just like your daughter.
Ha! She tore it up.
I love a fun doughnut shop! And they look tasty too. But the decor is super cute!
I was so into the decor, I’m all for decor these days so I’m certain that is why.
Too bad you didn’t enjoy your donut! I’ve had it before, and always have had nice fresh ones! The sprinkles one looks so good.
I need to try again and go earlier in the morning.
I recently heard about the Sugar Shack. It’ looks like a fun place. I tend not to go to dessert spots because I have 2 type one diabetics in my family and sugar isn’t the best options for them.
Eeeek! I would totally suggest skipping out for sure.
I love places that have such character!! The chalkboard walls and decor are all so unique! Oh an through in some amazingly tasty donuts and I’d say we’ve got a winner!
Yes, the chalk wall gave it a nice feel.
First I did not know it was National Doughnuts Day. I missed a whole reason to cheat on my meal plan. Two these doughnuts look awesome. The raspberry cheesecake doughnut look amazing. Now I’m in my feelings because I missed doughnut day.
Awww, dag. You totally did. I would say make up for it, but I’m sure another sweets day is around the corner.
I cannot believe I missed National Donut Day! These donuts look incredible.
It is never too late, run out and get a donut.
I celebrated national donut day at a food festival! I think the Sugar Shack look fun and looks like yummy
That is a great place to celebrate.
That’s such a cute shop! Too bad you didn’t enjoy the donut you got. My fav donut is the cake donut… might just be an LA thing 😀
I will give them a second chance before I write them off. So, you say I need to come to LA for donuts?
