Happy Friday Cuties! Yesterday with no fanfare MimiCuteLips turned 6 years old; so much has changed in six years. I’ve learned so much. I’ve built a community full of awesome cuties like you. We’ve had a few makeovers; did you notice the new look? When I started I had no vision, no plan I just wanted to share some of me. I would randomly post when I wanted and it was a mess. Three years in I decided to get serious about thangs and I fell in love with this place even more. With that said HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIMICUTELIPS! What better way to celebrate than with #FATSNACKS Friday. Today we’re talking about the cream, that’s right one of my absolute favorite food drugs. ICE CREAM!
Rumor has it I’ve had ice cream for dinner. Nothing has been confirmed so to speak but folks speculate that such things occur. I LOVE ME SOME ICE CREAM! It is the perfect cure for anything that is ailing you. It is also the perfect celebratory item. Ice cream is adored year round it isn’t just for the warm months and you can even make it yourself. You can use special equipment found on different sites like goldcoasticecream.com, or even using just normal baking equipment! My love and devotion comes with rules though; overall I’m a rather simple gal when it comes to the cream.
1. Vanilla is my flavor or choice. 2. Never put nuts on my ice cream, they simply don’t belong there. 3. Less is more. 4. Always eat it down to the last drop.
Favorite Brand: Breyers Vanilla Bean {Natural Vanilla} I don’t want creamy beige ice cream, that aint it. If I wanted something different, I’d consider getting the best ice cream maker to do it myself.
Favorite Ice Cream Chains: Sonic & Dairy Queen
When I go out of town I expect to have ice cream at least once a day. Don’t judge me, that is why I’m trying to get my fitness life together. I’m sharing some of my favorite ice cream spots.
Strawberry sundae is about as fancy as it gets for me. We have two Sonic’s opening up in my area, pray for my waistline. Please & Thank You, this is from our Thanksgiving trip to Georgia.
Whenever I hit up SOBE I have to visit The Frieze off of Lincoln Road. The girl in the Fossil store tipped me off to this spot and it is a gem. It stays open really late and they make their ice cream fresh daily. I celebrated my 36th birthday, see the crown.

This was our first time at The Frieze – big ol’ nasty vanilla cone
Both times I got a vanilla cone; I’m a creature of habit. No point in being modest about my ice cream.
Listen man, there are levels to this ice cream thing. Holey Cream is a favorite of mine in NYC; my cousin told me about it. Get the full details on this spot HERE. I have a glazed doughnut sandwich with vanilla bean ice cream. It also had glazed icing on the top with crumbled graham crackers
I told you I’m about that ice cream life all year long, this is from my NYC trip this past Christmas. We are outside eating ice cream with big huge coats on. DEDICATED!
I firmly believe that bacon makes everything better. When the Bacon Festival came to DC I had to have my face in the place. What I didn’t expect was ice cream, but once I found out I had to have some. This ice cream was called “Jack-ed Maple Bacon Ice Cream,” Jack Daniel’s + bacon + ice cream = Joy! It taste more like a butter pecan type of deal.
My girl Bri Cooley mentioned the Big Gay Ice Cream Truck while in NYC four years ago. We didn’t find the truck so we just went to the shop. I told y’all there are levels to this; this thang here is called the Bea Arthur. Vanilla ice cream + dulce de leche + crushed ‘nilla wafers. Heave right here on earth is what it should be called. Ever since this day I’ve been crushing up ‘nilla wafers on my ice cream at home.
What is your ice cream order, how do you like it? Chat with me in the comment below or FB, IG or Twitter.
My husband’s favorite snack/dessert/etc. is ice cream. His fave is butter pecan. I’m not an ice cream person, but if I do eat it, it has to have caramel and nuts. 🙂 Happy 6th anniversary!
Thanks Alli, your husband is a man after my own heart.
Oh I absolutely love ice cream, it’s probably among my top 3 desserts. I love almost all ice creams, but Ben & Jerry’s is probably my favorite.
Yummy Carmen, you are my people.
I’m a huge fan of ice cream. And that glazed donut sandwich looks so incredibly delicious. I will be definitely trying that the next time I’m in NYC!
Jenn you will love it, I promise you will.
Ice cream for dinner is the BEST! My favorite kind of ice cream is cookies and cream (but in all seriousness, I love ALL ice cream!) <3
Ha, you are my kind of person.
Butter Pecan and Heath Bar Crunch are my favorites. These pictures look good enough to eat! I am drooling here..heck..I will even take the plain vanilla 😉
You like your ice cream rather fancy.
Yum, I could totally go for some ice cream. I seriously need to look into Holey Cream in NYC. That doughnut sandwich looks way too good.
Liz, you must. You wouldn’t be sad I swear.
Oh my gosh! These photos are making my mouth water! Yum! I love anything with peanut butter and chocolate. I might have some for dinner tonight!
Hahahhahaha I love the way you think.
Oh wow! That ice cream with the donut on top looks amazing!! I hope I get to NYC so I can try that.
Ashley, it is a NYC must.
I love ice cream as well, particularly in winter. My favorite flavors are World Class Chocolate and Gold Metal Ribbon from Baskin Robbins. Now, I would love to try a vanilla flavor with warm bacon. Something about that sounds so right.
Rginia it was so right. I need to check out this Gold Metal Ribbon flavor.
Holey Moley I am taking the kids there ASAP!! It looks delicious and I too love the Natural Vanilla, you can taste the beans honey!
Girl its bomb, I go every time I’m in NYC.
Oh my goodness, those look delicious! I used to love anything chocolate, especially Hagen Daaz but my preference has now changed. One of my favourites is also Breyers Vanilla!
Great taste buds Bites.
My husband loves him some ice cream! I eat ice cream on occasion and when I do, I like butter pecan although nuts can aggravate acne. Happy 6th Birthday!
Jay he sounds like my kind of dude. As a kid my Mom used to buy butter pecan all the time.
Oh my goodness! Those snacks are yummy but it’s not on my diet, I think I should cheat sometimes on my diet lol. For sure you had fun with your friends.
Chris, you should cheat, but make sure it is worth it.
I like vanilla if it is good vanilla. But I totally disagree with you about the nuts. They are wonderful in ice cream.
Hahahha Sam, I burst out laughing.
Happy 6th anniversary, wow such a long time of blogging I am only reaching 3 years this July. I too love ice cream and I have actually had ice cream for breakfast lunch and dinner. MY favourite is Hagen Daz frozen yogurt or vanilla
Thanks Anosa. You speak my language.
I love ice cream, especially some Ben and Jerry’s.
You can’t go wrong with Ben & Jerry’s.
Like you, I’m a sucker for ice cream. I have major #sweettoothproblems, but if I could only eat one dessert for the rest of my life, it would be ice cream. Like you, vanilla is also my fave – vanilla bean to be exact because I like to see the vanilla seeds. But, I also love cookie dough, jamoca almond fudge, cookies ‘n cream, strawberry, chocolate (duh!), dulce de leche, and fruity sherberts (sometimes). If I go to Yogurtland, I’ll usually get the cookies ‘n cream topped with plain M&Ms, peanuts (yes, they belong in ice cream – lol!), Oreo crumbs, and fudge. It’s such a rare treat. But you just took things to a whole new level with that glazed donut. Can you imagine vanilla with Krispy Kreme?! I’m going to have to try your Nilla Wafer suggestion. Now you have me craving ice cream! Happy blogaversary, by the way!
Thanks Dana, you sound like my food soul mate. hahahahaha
Wow – happy 6 years! I love butter pecan ice cream – the only flavor I really eat. All of these desserts look deliciously sinful! 🙂
Thanks Valerie, as a kid my Mom purchased butter pecan all the time.
I LOVE ice cream! If I have a food cheat day this would be my go-to treat. All flavors…I love them all! So now I am so envious after seeing the pics in your post!
Hahaha Sorry Cara, I’m not helping here.
Happy Blog Birthday! 🙂 Enjoy your treats, you’ve earned them! Congratulations on all your success!
Thanks Mar.
So I have news for you, good or bad depending on how you look at it. Sonic has THE BEST hot fudge sundaes! The fresh taste of the ice cream with a clean tasting fudge and the cool vanilla of the whip cream combine in the way no sundae anywhere else ever has. It’s a fantastic taste!!
Hmmm Shelley, I’m willing to give it a try. Just to see if you are an honest person. lol
I just recently saw donut ice cream cones for ice cream, and I thought those sounded fantastic. Have you ever had Blue Bell ice cream? It’s heavenly. I definitely want one of those donut sundaes in the photo. Yum!
Stephanie I saw that recently too and I started drooling. It sounds amazing. I’ve never had Blue Bell ice cream, I thought they were popular in the south.
My favorite ice cream is chocolate. I can’t enough of it. I bake brownies, cut a nice large square of it. Plop the chocolate ice cream on top. Chocolate syrup on to of that. And for the next 5 minutes, I’m in heaven.
Terri that does sound pretty freaking amazing.
I, too love me some ice cream. My favorite being butter pecan. Now I need to go get me some! ✌?️
Ha!!
I’m a huge fan of ice cream and My favorite ice cream is chocolate. Love it!
