Hey Cuties,
We are down to the last day of 2015, Happy New Year! I appreciate you for rocking with me. I hope I’ve shared something that connected with you one way or another. I read all your comments and I try to reply to each of them. I don’t take your time for granted, you could be anywhere in the world but I appreciate that you come here to chat with me. This year has been major in a rather low key kind of way. Sometimes it takes some reflecting to realize just how far you’ve come. That applies across the board in life, when we are in the thick of things it’s hard to realize the how far we’ve come. 2015 was a year of preparation for me and let me tell you MIMICUTELIPS IS READY HONEY!
MimiCuteLips is a lifestyle brand made of pure passion. If I don’t feel it, love it or have a connection to it you won’t see it here on my blog. PERIOD!
I interviewed a lot of dope people like Issa Rae – Kim Coles – Chrisette Michele. I met Charlie Wilson – Miko Branch & Bold & Breastless herself. Babe and I went to Diner en Blanc and had the time of our life.
Then there was that time I went to the Italian Embassy. Oh and I met Chris Partlow aka Gbenga Akinnagbe of The Wire.
INTERVIEWS:
Thanks to Huff Post Live I interviewed some dope people from my childhood like Malcolm-Jamal Warner – Salt-N-Pepa and more recently The ladies of The Real – Uzo Aduba. My favorite was Malcolm-Jamal Warner because he loves me duh!
How could you not love a man that greets you this way. Ha!
It didn’t stop there; I’ve had some virtual Boo’s that I finally got to meet in person. I love these gals. Hey Be Free Project & Gorgeous in Grey. Then there was that time where I was a fire cutie for the day, handling heavy machinery and such.
I’ve never had a post catch on and go viral, viral is a relative term but for me and my viewership this post totally went viral. It is a variety of hairstyles I’ve done on my daughter’s hair. I don’t show you how to do them nor do I show you the products I used to create the styles. This post has been viewed 9,000+ times.
Then I was like oh I should create a t-shirt line. I’m a lover of graphic tees and so this was a no brainer for me. The t shirts are a lot of my favorite sayings and all things MimiCuteLips.
I co-hosted my first event with Heather of Fro Fit Moms. We took 20 black women {All women were invited.} up Sugar Loaf Mountain hiking for a couple of hours and having an amazing time.
Then somehow some way I ended up on TV not once but twice. I celebrated my 36th birthday in Miami. Then I spent the day at Google with the YouTube folks. #NerdTears Then Chrisette Michele and I were reunited again. Then DriveShop was like oh we want you to test drive a car for seven days. Oh okay! Then my loves and I wished you a Merry Christmas.
This year has been amazing and I’m looking forward to turning things all the way up in 2016. Happy New Year Cuties.
