Hey Cuties,
I’ve been creating up a storm, legit I’ve made a little bit of everything. I entered the door decorating contest at work. I went for a Peanuts theme and I love the way it turned out. Click HERE to see it. I’m also gearing up for another National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day with Good Morning Washington on ABC 7 / News Channel 8.
Last year I did my first segment with them for National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day. A full year later I’ve been on six times. Aye! This year, I had to come up with some fresh ideas and LittleCuteLips wanted me to do the reindeer puke sweater. This one is perfect for a couples look, one person wears the head and shows the reindeer puking Christmas. The other wears the reindeer butt and its pooping out Christmas.
Supplies: Sweatshirt, felt (brown and tan), Christmas sticker embellishments.
I needed a reindeer silhouette, so I Googled one and stopped when I found one that I liked. I needed a side profile to complete the look. I printed it out on card-stock and cut it out.
Traced the full silhouette on the dark brown felt, and only traced the antlers on the tan sheet of felt.
After the tracing, it was time to cut them out. After I cut them out I glued the antlers to the buck.
All of the craft stores have Christmas embellishments and they are marked down at least 40% off. You can use these or the puff balls, puff paint, glitter paint or whatever tacky behavior you can find.
Although they are sticky I reinforce with craft glue. You could use a hot glue gun but they aren’t as secure. You don’t want your sweater falling apart while you are at the party.
I glued my reindeer on at the top corner and then you create your Christmas puke with your random embellishments. You can put your deer on either side but the puke just needs to be diagonal from it. I used no pattern type, LittleCuteLips just handed them to me and we placed them on.
I like the way it turned out. The sweater was $5, the felt was $.39 per sheet and the stickers were a couple of bucks + 40% off coupon. A total win for about $10.00
