CuteLips Gets Colored: The Color Run

A week ago my niece and I participated in The Color Run. They say it's the #happiest5k and they were not joking. WHO KNEW! Having someone toss powered color on you while you run 3.1 miles would be so much fun, liberating even. I've run in water, I've run in the mud, and I've even run at night but this was by far the most fun. So much so I've signed up to do the run again in September.
I've not hung out with my niece since she was a little girl, by little I mean 2. Today was a first and she and I totally had a blast. Check out our experience in pictures.

Saving some Boobies!

Everyone loves boobies, we rub boobies in my family and they have saved lives. This weekend my family and I participated in the Race for the Cure. It's our annual tradition; it started as something I did with my Babe and his family because my Mother-in-law is a breast cancer survivor. As of 2012 my mother was officially a breast cancer survivor too. I've blogged about our experience with HERE! Now we do it together with both sides of our family. We walk in honor of our mother's, the many women and men too that are currently battling breast cancer, those that have lost their battle and those that will be diagnosed. A year or so ago Susan G. Komen changed the Breast Cancer walk to the Saturday before Mother's Day. On this day I used to host my annual Tea Party now we do the walk together.

Who knew #Xtreme13 would be so EXTREME!

At the start of the year my boyfriend named this year #Xtreme13. When he said it his thinking was a year for us to do things outside of our box, outside of our comfort zone and explore some unknown things. While we set out to do just that this year we didn’t know just how #Xtreme this year would be. We experienced a lot of death this year – His Grandmother (February), 3 of his boys (2 of them died together and the other just two days later - May), my Aunt (age 52 - July), and a few High School classmates.
