My love for reading started in my late teens/early twenties. That is when I discovered Omar Tyree, Sister Souljah, Eric Jerome Dickey, Zane, Terry McMillan, Bebe Moore Campbell, and others. 🖤
After reading over 300 books in 2025 I wanted to create a dedicated space to share book recommendations, book reviews, and other book-related content. That was the catalyst for Good Girl Lit.
While I am down bad behind romance, my second love is a autobiography/memoir situation. I like to know who they were before the fame and how they got to where they are.

I’ve had the honor of meeting some incredible authors over the years. In a former life I worked book events as press, and a day of assistant. That gave me an up close and personal experience with the book world.
I loved the Best Man movies, and series so when a book was in the works to add to the exisiting stories I was all in. I received an advance copy and immediately dug in. Later, co-authors Malcolm D. Lee and Jayne Allen came to DC I had to be there. We had a good laugh about the book and how pressed I was for book two.
I fell in love with Kennedy Ryan‘s writing with the Skyland series. At the time only books one and two were out. When bestie and I found out she was attending the Bronx Book Festival we mad a weekend trip to meet our author bestie in person.
