I was so excited about this week’s podcast. I took a few days off and cleared my mind a bit with a road trip to Ocean City. Y’all I needed it so much and my soul was restored. I was soaking up the sound of the waves and then I returned home to binge-watch The Queens on television. Y’all they gave way more than they were supposed to give.

Topic: I watched the Tiner Tuner Documentary on HBO and it was way more than I thought it was going to be. I thought we knew it all and saw it all in the movie What Love Has To Do With it, naw. There was so much more that we didn’t know so I talked about it.
Topic: My mouth was open the entire eight hours of the Nat Geo Genius series on Aretha Franklin. I didn’t know anything about Aretha’s life, but baby! She was strong because she had no other choice, but damn. We unpacked it on the podcast! This Aretha Franklin series was so deep!
