Free Tickets: Dog Days Movie Screening DC

Hey Cuties, We are about a month out from the start of school here in the DMV, and I have mixed feelings. Although I am registering the kids for school, we are soaking up our last month of summer. That always includes movies, this time it includes Dog Days. I encourage you to do the same, focus on the now and worry about September next month. Grab the family and go and see a movie on me before it hits theaters Wednesday, August 8th.

5 Ways To Cut Down On Bullying

Hey Cuties, July has arrived and we are seven months into the year. I'm so freaking excited about life right now you have no idea. We have moved to a very relaxed daily schedule. I'm still cooking but not on a consistent basis, although I just shared a bomb recipe. LittleCuteLips participated in her first Martial Arts Tournament and it wrapped up our sports season.

Carol’s Daughter 25th Anniversary Celebration

Hey Cuties, Last week I attended the blackest event I think I've ever attended in my life. It was such a moment, and I fully took it in. I was honored to be a guest of Carol's Daughter 25 Anniversary celebration at the Blacksonian in Washington, DC. Also, know as the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC).

The Momference Is The Black Mom Magic Event Of The Year

Hey Cuties, Last weekend was yet another epic weekend in the books. The Momference, a conference geared toward black millennial moms took place. Why? Because other conferences don't involve and or create content relevant to our needs and experiences.  Face it, as much as we would like the world simply is not created equal. We are ignored, overlooked or simply left out of movements.  This was a safe place for Moms of color to share, to be inspired, and to be heard.

Anthony Hamilton Makes a Wish To A Deserving Cancer Patient

Hey Cuties, I had the most incredible Friday night E-V-E-R a few weeks ago! Legit, there are not enough words to express all of the feels. Because we are internet cousins I'm going to share it all with you. When I say "what is for you is for you" you have to understand that the Universe is constantly at work. We get what we need when we don't even know we need it. You think you are being a blessing to someone only to find out they are a blessing to you. Listen Linda!
