Hey Cuties We are halfway through Women's History Month. If you didn't know March is the month of the woman. March 8th, in particular, is International Women's Day. International Women's Day is a day to celebrate women's achievements throughout history and across nations. I don't know why we needed a day since we have the entire month but either way, I am here for it and so should you. Snatch off your bra and celebrate our strength. Pick our your finest wine glass and fill it with your beverage of choice. For me, that is Raspberry Sherbert + Pink Moscato. Treat yourself!
Hey Cuties, Black Panther week continues, I hope you enjoyed my interview with Marvel Black Panther Director, Ryan Coogler. While watching the movie I was obsessing over the costumes and looks so I had to chat with Costume Designer Ruth Carter. This lady here is an unsung hero let me tell you. I also chatted with Black Panther, Producer Nate Moore. Squeal! Listen everyone on this movie that I've met are simply amazing. Maybe its the creativity we have in common but they were so freaking humble. Let's get into it.
Hey Cuties, I had an epic Black Panther weekend although the movie doesn't open until this Friday, February 16th. I'm sharing it all, but no spoilers I promise. I attended a press screening for Marvel's Black Panther movie. Full Disclosure, I'm not a superhero fan and this was the first Marvel movie I've ever seen. Despite all of those things, it was fan-freaking-tastic.
Hey Cuties, One of the things I want to do this year on MimiCuteLips.com is to share more of me. More of who I am as a person, what I've experienced in life and how I got to be the dope ass chick that you know me as today. I'm so fascinated by people's stories, I like to know the who, what, when, where and why. So it's only fair that I share some of that myself.
Hey Cuties, A few days before the new year I hung out with the Real Husbands of Largo for a New Years Resolution show. This was a chance for us to discuss how to level up our goals/dreams/businesses, etc in 2018. Stacey and I had chatted about some of our accomplishments and realized we had accomplished so much on our own. None of this was rocket science but we both believe in sharing and educating the masses so we did.
Hey Cuties, Hello Cyber Monday, I've got five subscription boxes that would be great Christmas gifts. Black Friday is gone, Small Business Saturday is done, and Cyber Monday is bringing up the rear with additional discounts. Subscription boxes can be a one-time thing or a Christmas gifts that give all year long.
Hey Cuties, I had the most epic Friday night of 2017. Listen Linda sometimes you experience bucket list worthy things in life. This was not on my bucket list but it should have been. Matter of fact I've added it to my list and checked it off. I shared the same space as The Black Mother of Hollywood, Jenifer Lewis. Dare I say an icon in Hollywood, especially black Hollywood. She is also a viral video sensation. #InTheseStreets
Hey Cuties, I'm sharing a story that is very near and dear to my heart. It is a personal story about my cousin Thais. My first cousins and I grew up like sisters because we are all girls and close in age. At some point in my childhood, we've all lived together. I also want to educate you on Pancreatic Cancer since November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness month and Stevens-Johnson Syndrome because knowledge is power.
Hey Cuties, I've taken my creativity to new heights and I'm so excited to share it with you. For the past 5 years, I've made LittleCuteLips Halloween Costumes. I began to look forward to making her versions come to life. This year she went a different route but I still needed to create a costume for my Good Morning Washington segment.
Hey Cuties, On Friday I had my most Carrie Bradshaw moment of all times. Sex and the City is one of my favorite movies, and I've seen every single episode and the movies a million times. Don't keep sweaters in my oven like her but I am a writer. Carrie is a writer in love with fashion and love. She has her girl tribe and tramps around the city looking for inspiration on her next article. Duh... that totally sounds like me.
