Suncoast Movie Sip & Paint Experience
Bestie and I attended a cozy Galentine’s Sip & Paint at Muse Paintbar to celebrate Searchlight Pictures’ new film, SUNCOAST, which just had its Sundance world premiere. Galentine’s Day isn’t for a few days but we won’t ever skip out on a chance to celebrate.
We also had an advance screening of the movie Suncoast. Y’all, it took us on a mofo journey. I’m not going to lie the mother pissed me off so bad I wanted to punch her in the face. Now, that is a strong reaction but it was real, also a testament to how Laura Linney played the mess out of this role. Also to as well this is a semi-autobiographical story and that made my heart hurt a little more.
There is some sadness in the movie but there is also resilience and the value of friendship. Sometimes our family is those we choose and not those born into it. Either way, we all need a village and this movie shares the importance of having one. Warning, there is death in this movie, if that is a sensitive spot keep that in mind.
Suncoast is available to stream now on Hulu.
The cocktail was cool and it had edible glitter

We were in a private room at Muse Paintbar and while it was cozy we were able to move around with ease.
This is our second Sip & Paint, we are always down for an activity, plus we bring the fun wherever we go.
We had an instructor so we weren’t figuring this out without guidance yet we were struggling to figure it out. As an artist, I am usually in control of my creativity but with painting, I was NOT in control. My creativity doesn’t translate the same.
You know we had to do a group picture of did this really happen. Here is a video recap.
The look was top tier though let me tell you. It was comfy, it was cute and colorful but not vibrant.
This is my finished project and it now lives in my living room.
