Like A Boss Tiffany Haddish Interview + Review

Hey Cuties,

I’ve had a Like A Boss week and it has been a lot of fun. Tuesday I gave away tickets to an advance screening of Like A Boss here in DC. We had Sephora gift card giveaways, a fun photo booth, and we watched the movie. Like A Boss is officially in theaters TODAY! Below is my Like A Boss Tiffany Haddish interview and my official review of the movie.

The Screening

On Tuesday Cuties from all around the DMV showed up at Regal Gallery Place in DC. The above photo is from the fun green screen photo booth. I like this theater because they have alcohol so I had a Sangria while I cackled at Like A Boss. You know, because classy.

As press, we got cute swag bags with a poster and a $25 Sephora gift card. Please and thank you, I will be using that. They didn’t leave out the audience, they raffled off several gift cards to them as well. Who doesn’t love Sephora, they have everything.

The Red Carpet

Yesterday, I covered the red carpet for another Like a Boss screening. I love doing the red carpet. I get a chance to hang with old media friends and make new friends. This time I was on the carpet between Rarolae and Paramount Pictures. Fancy huh!

Tiffany Haddish was a good time, just like I expected her to be. She and Good Morning American ran a contest back in October asking for Best Friends to enter for a chance to win a private VIP screening of Like A Boss with Tiffany. These two ladies (L: Chadra Pittman R: Candice Ferreira) won, they met their Sophmore year of college at George Mason in VA and have been friends for the past 30 years. Funny Story: My sister went to George Mason and she and Chadra were friends. I remember meeting Chadra when I was like 12 years old. Life is real funny

The Review:

This is my new favorite movie, I saw it with my Bestie and that was the way they intended it. The movie is about two friends that started their friendship as children and are now adults in business together. This is no romantic comedy, there is no male savior (eye roll) in this movie. This movie celebrates friendship, it celebrates women, it encourages women to boss up. If you are a boss already then take it next level. It shows us how to have hard conversations with our friends when we don’t see eye to eye. It reminds us that there is NO RELATIONSHIP we can ever have like the one we have with our girls.  It will remind you of the foolish things you and your girls do and or have done together. It is a feel-good movie on its own, but it gave me Baby Mama and Bridesmaids vibes which are two movies I adore and watch every time they come on TV.

This movie has great Quotables, I’ve adopted new words in my vernacular and so will you. Now let’s talk about that GOT DAMN BILLY PORTER. Listen to me when I tell you he is everything and more believe it. I just want to have dinner and cocktails with the cast. Like legit. Also, I didn’t know Salma Hyak could be so funny, but she kept me laughing. I can’t wait to see it again.

Sip cocktails while you watch the movie, I did. Then go out to eat and recap the movie and laugh while having more cocktails.

  1. First of all, you can’t go wrong sangria at the movies! Secondly I’ve heard so many good things about it. I’m actually looking forward to seeing salma Hayek. I feel like she has been in big movies for a little while.

  2. I’ll be honest that I was skeptical about seeing this film. The trailer doesn’t seem to do it justice if everyone seems to like it. Maybe I will give it a shot now. Thanks for your review.

  3. Wow this was an amazing interview. I wish she came to Atlanta but she did a great job in the film and I even took some business notes!

  4. Sangrias, a movie, Sephora gift cards and Tiffany Haddish? Aw y’all had a good ol’ time! I have to see this movie. I’m happy to hear that there’s no romance involved, lol. Chicks before… you know. Hahaha!

  5. I checked it out with a friend on the opening weekend. That Friday we got up a Happy hour first then saw the movie. It was a great girls night out!
