This Is The Starbucks Medicine Ball Dupe You Need
Hey Cuties,
I wasn’t feeling well over the weekend and decided a Medicine Ball from Starbucks would be the cure. Except when I got to the drive-thru (trifling) the lady told me they were out of lemonade. Well, that was rude! So I went to Target and the cold and flu stuff is all picked over but they graciously left the ingredients I needed to make my own Medicine Ball, so I did.
Starbucks Medicine Ball Dupe
What is a medicine ball? At first, it was a “secret,” off-menu drink, until Starbucks made it official. If you order it now, the menu name is “Honey Citrus Mint Tea”, which is stupid. Why not just call it what we all know it to be a Medicine Ball. Most baristas will know it as the Medicine Ball if you ask for it by that name.
Medicine Ball Ingredients
- Jade Citrus Mint® green tea
- Peach Tranquility® herbal tea
- Hot Water
- Lemonade
- Honey
- Peppermint (Optional)
The Measurements
I made four Starbucks Medicine Ball Dupes before I was solid on my measurements. I’ve been making them in a 16 oz and a 24 oz tumbler so I will give you measurements for both.
16 oz Measurements: 1/2 cup water + 1/2 cup lemonade + 1 tea bag Peach Tranquility® herbal tea + 1 tea bag Jade Citrus Mint® green tea + 1 tsp. honey + Peppermint extract optional (A little goes a long way)
24 oz Measurements: 1 1/2 cup water + 1/2 cup lemonade + 1 tea bag Peach Tranquility® herbal tea + 1 tea bag Jade Citrus Mint® green tea + 1 tsp. honey + Peppermint optional (A little goes a long way)
The Recipe
- Combine your lemonade and water in a pan.
- Bring to a boil and remove from the heat
- Pour liquid into the cup
- add in tea bags + other ingredients
The Benefits
Jade Citrus Mint® is premium, lush green tea blended with hints of spearmint, lemon verbena, and lemongrass. It’s a just-right balance of cool calm and bright invigoration.
Peach Tranquility® is a soft peach shimmers alongside tropical pineapple with delicate herbal notes of lemon verbena and a chamomile finish. It’s a juicy take on tea that’s full of fruit, fragrance, and flavor.
Notes
I used Simply Lemonade and it overpowers the drink and makes it real “lemony” if you like ‘lemony” than you might want to do equal parts lemonade and water. If not, rock with what I gave you.
I put the tsp of honey in the boiling lemonade/water because the heat from the liquids makes it melt off the spoon with ease.
A little peppermint extract goes a long way. Don’t be like me.
I purchased all the ingredients from Target.

Cold and flu season has been terrible.
Thanks, I thought it was a cold. As it turns out it was my allergies. SMH The tree count is killer right now.
Yes, sharing is caring and much cheaper too.
I’ve heard this works wonders. I almost ordered this from Starbucks one day too. I do wonder if using real lemons would make it taste better?
It is so good, and great for the immune system. Real lemons would be delicious too.
First of all, I love the Starbicks Medicine Ball. I’m definitely going to have to try this recipe. Thanks for sharing.

Just made this for my son and he loves it. He normally is not a big fan of tea so it was hard to get hi to drink it while not feeling well, this tea changed the game. Thanks for the dupe!
That is awesome, I’m so glad he loved it. I hope he is feeling better.
I’ve always heard of this but skeptical that it actually works lol I may have to try it out soon
It works, I promise.
Boy do we need this more than ever! A great immunity booster!
Yes, I’m all about boosting my system as much as possible.
You know I’ve never heard of this from Starbucks. Sounds like it would be good to whip up at home when you need it.
I’m not a Starbucks drinker but my sister put me on to it. I don’t drink coffee, but I drink hot tea daily.
