The Wendy Williams Show – Hot Topics for Heels
Hey Cuties,
Happy Friday Cuties, today my is the day my Wendy Williams episode airs. This was a fun shoot to do, as you know I am no stranger to the Wendy Williams Show, although I have not been in years. This is the first time I was actually in the episode; usually, I am just in the audience being cute.
On Wednesday the Wendy Show ran a promo for the Hot Topics for Heels episode. I had no idea until I started receiving messages from people saying they saw me on TV. I was all kinds of confused, and after viewing the episode 3 times on my DVR I finally saw the clip.
Did you see me?
This fun day took place at The Shoe Box in the Flatiron District in Manhattan, New York.
Peep the sign (left corner) warning you that you can be filmed if you stand in this area. It was funny to watch people try and figure out what was going on. Some looked on and then walked away with no answers. Others just asked what was going on.
The crew and I got up early and jumped on the Mega Bus for a chilled out ride to New York. The weather was an unusual 90+ that day. We kept it simple with our cute sneakers and backpacks.
The Shoe Box is a cute store and that is visually appealing. They have shoes that run the gamut in pricing. They had some super cute Charlotte Olympia’s that was $800. They were to die for. I, however, fell in love with a Stuart Weitzman. One of my favorite pair of shoes are made by Stuart and they are cute and actually comfy. I really wanted a red pair but they did not have my size. So I settled out on a black pair. The higher the heel, the better the meeting. I’m just saying, some shoes just get you what you want. Okkkuuuurt!
Wendy is in the building, it is go time!
Babe was not into the shoes for obvious reasons, but he did find some shades that were really cute on him. They just so happen to match his shirt perfectly.
Babe was the real MVP for capturing this picture of Wendy and I as we filmed the segment. I won’t tell you if I won or not, you can watch the segment to see for yourself.
Thanks for a good time Wendy! How you doin?
Summer is fast approaching, what are your go-to shoes? Chat with me in the comments below or FB, IG, and Twitter.
I just love seeing you in events like this. Keep doing your thang!
Thanks, life is an adventure.
How fun! I just got back from NY and was here for the warm weather! I am happy to see you doing your thang in the segment. My go to shoes will be some cute sandals but with different heel sizes to fit the occaaaion.
Summer has started early and the temps have been high. Thanks, it is so fun to just see where life takes me.
Good choice.
What a fun event. I would do hot topics for shoes but they better have flats. LOL.
Kita, you got to pick out any kind of shoes you wanted. They had some really cute flats too.
How fun you got to meet Wendy and do this segment! I’ve always loved her since radio
Yes, I love to see her grind. There is no one in the industry doing what she is doing or has been in the game as long.
This is so cool! That’s funny that you didn’t even know until people were hitting you up. I’m gonna take a guess and say that you won! (?) And your hubby was rocking those frames.
I didn’t expect to be in the promo shot. I watched the episode several times before I even saw the promo. lol I love those frames on him, they are perfect for his face.
I’d love to wear heels more often! Mostly I just wear my Converse or Birks.
Kimmy, I don’t wear heels nearly as much as I used to. I am slowly becoming a sneaker head.
I love Wendy Williams. If it weren’t for her I would never know the tea. I am excited to see you on the show. Congratulations ? ???… Can’t go wrong on a segment about shoes.
Exactly! Wendy has been spilling the tea for years. I’m fairly experienced in my hot topics so I figured I would get it correct.
That is such a cool opportunity. I saw the clip on your instagram and thought “Mimi is doing big things!” Congrats.
Hahahaha, thanks. I like to color outside the lines as often as possible.
OMG what a fun experience!! And you looked like such a natural with it! I wish I could ride the Mega Bus to NYC for the low!
Thanks, it was so fun. I swear I love the camera.
Girl $15 each way, you can’t beat it.
How cool! I bet you had a great time!! It was truly an opportunity and experience of a lifetime!
It was such a really good time.
Wow! What an amazing opportunity! You were probably way more professional than I would’ve been if i were in your shoes because I would have lost it!
hahaha Girl, shoes take us all the way out of character. I held it together though.
