My Exclusive Goals and Motivation for 2017

Happy Cuties,

We are two days into the new year, have you quit all bad food? Have you promised to work out so you can get back into that dress you love? Have you created a vision board? I haven’t done any of those things.

Happy New Year Cuties!

How did you celebrate? I was on the sofa with Babe.  The kids were watching Storks and I called the kids up two minutes to midnight. LittleCuteLips was sleeping so I had to carry her upstairs. We counted down, kissed, said Happy New Year and that was it. I sent the Man-Child to bed and put LittleCuteLips in her bed while Babe and I kept watching Mr. Church.

Word of the year: LEAP {noun} a spring, jump, or bound; a light, springing movement.

Motivational Reminder: Growth happens outside of your comfort zone. Go for it!

Family Goals: Disconnect more when spending time with the family.  Exercise patience in the parenting department. Continue to foster a relationship with my man-child during these pre-teen years. Try not to fall apart when LittleCuteLips goes to Kindergarten. Check in on my Dad and Grandmother more often.

Focus for 2017: Cut out the things that don’t make me happy. Don’t be afraid to let them go.

2016 was epic and I’m looking forward to 2017 being even better. My baby girl turns 5 and my son officially become a teenager.  Ready or not here I come. I’m going to read Year of Yes again so I get my mojo all the way up.

Love your goals!, especially the cut the debt in half and limit the soda. Best thing l ever did years ago was stop drinking regular Coke, switched to diet Coke, but gave that up 2 years ago too. Hope you achieve them all 🙂 .

Tithing is the only goal I’ve made for 2017. I believe the Church a a whole is going to be needed now more than ever as certain human services for our poorest will be cut. I want to help my local church better serve our members and community.

I love this! It’s so important to have your goals right up front and clearly defined in your mind. That’s the only way you’ll achieve them.

I actually spent NYE sending out “thank you ” emails to businesses/individuals who I had the opportunity to work with in 2016. My focus, this year, is to truly commit to the growth of my blog.

  11. Heidi Dee

My word for 2017 is “inspire,” and I hope that’s what I’m able to do for others! I like your focus of cutting out things that don’t make you happy. I’ve been working on that as well.

  16. Polarbelle

Your family picture is beautiful. Your home looks very relaxing. And the tree is gorgeous. I’m trying to decide on my word for the year…I have several….Focus keeps coming to mind…

  17. Kirstin Fuller

Last year was a great revenue year for my blog so my goal is to double that figure this year. Personally it’s going to be the ‘year of NO’ which is a direct take on Shonda’s year of yes which I followed in terms of ‘Yes’ to at least one event per month that benefited my blog. The ‘year of NO’ means saying no to things I really don’t want to do and to people with crazy requests…lol

  18. Ashleigh

LOVE these goals! My theme for the year is unapologetic happiness and I’m always stressing self-care! Can’t wait to see what 2017 brings for us all.

I like the goals. One of my vices that I’m going to be doing less of in the new year is pizza. I LOVE pizza! My fiancée says he WILL NOT be a side dude to pizza….lol yes pizza has to go!

  24. Tiffany H.

I love how you broke your goals down into specific areas of your life. I feel like that makes them more manageable. I definitely need to exercise more patience in the parenting department.
