Six Flags Fright Fest Media Night

Hey Cuties,

On a typical Friday night, you can find me at home, on the sofa watching TV with Babe. But Friday night was everything but typical. First off we hit the streets at 9 PM. What! Oh, and I had a full on crew with me. I had suckered them into joining me for the Six Flags Fright Fest Media Night Preview.

Fright Fest, presented by SNICKERS®, is back for select days September 22-October 28 at Six Flags America. It’s a spooky time of year as zombies and ghouls take over the park. Enjoy thrills and activities for the whole family throughout the day and come back for a truly frightening evening of fun after the sun goes down. Fright Fest offers a wide variety of places to get your scare on including several haunted houses and scare zones located throughout the park. The stuff of nightmares lurks around every corner as the dark of night washes over the park. The ghouls are set free for their daily hunting rituals. BEWARE! There is no place to hide!

BACKSTORY: Here is what you need to know about MimiCuteLips. She does not do scary movies. She does not like scary things. She does not like Sci-fi movies that might border on scary because of the way her nerves are set up. She just does not! Give her a chick flick, comedy, romantic comedy, Disney/Pixar blah blah blah and she is all in. Otherwise, miss her with the bullish. Despite all of these things she went and had a blast at Six Flags Fright Fest.

THE ENTRANCE:
The park was closed to the public for this media night. So once we arrived, eight deep we checked in, cleared security and waited for an escort. Well, that was a first we’ve never had an escort. Watch this short video to see how that escort went…

Once my heart returned to my chest we enjoyed some grub while FLESH performed inside of the Saloon. Think trained dancers +moulin rouge, that is the vibe I got. I might have to try some of their moves out. We followed that up with more heart palpitations as we walked to the Grand Theather.

The set of CUR2ED

As many times as I’ve been to Six Flags, this was my first time in the Grand Theather. It is pretty big, I had no idea all of this was going on.

ABOUT THE SHOW:

CUR2ED: The Ghost Patrol returns to solve a brand new musical mystery. When they unexpectedly find themselves trapped in the House of Voodoo trying desperately to save their souls from the High Priestess and her dark magic – they accidentally awaken Papa Legba and all hell breaks loose!

It was way funnier than I expected, but it does contain adult language. So don’t bring your little children, and parents decide if you want your teens to hear curse words.

My Crew

This was my crew: Mi, Babe, The Manchild, Cousin Ty, The Style Medic, and Maximillion Petty. We had one more, but you can’t see her in the picture.

Six Flags Fright Fest

This picture was supposed to be me looking happy and smiley, except my face cannot tell a lie.

We finished the night off with a partial tour of the new haunted house Total Damnation. Translation: I screamed some more.

As scary as I was, I had a good time. It was outside of my comfort zone and while there is no growth. Because I don’t plan on doing this all the time and I still won’t be watching scary movies. Six Flags did an incredible job providing a haunted experience. Fright Fest is open select days September 22-October 28. If scary/haunted panic attacks are your thing then this is your place. I’m sure I could not handle the full-throttle experience, but you can.

I love that you did it although it’s not your thing. I’m with you I don’t like scary stuff either. I once got kicked out of a haunted house for asking the workers how much they get paid lol. I saw your IG stories on this and it provided me some laughs that night. Six Flags definitely knows how to put on a show.

  2. T. Espinoza

I’m all for scary/haunted/creepy things but I don’t know if I’d be able to handle the full experience either LOL That video had me laugh/crying all over again. Good times.

  3. Stacie

Ooh, see I don’t do nothing scary! We have something like this at our amusement park and it gets wild! Glad you all had fun.

  4. Ola

I am SO NOT a fright night person. In my area, clowns are actually banned. LOL! Thank goodness. LOLOL!

  5. Kim

You know, I’ve done Fright Fest once and only once because I can’t do it lol it is too scary for me, especially at night,

  6. Leslie

Scary things are not my cup of tea but if my child ever expresses a desire to go, I guess I will have to be a G.

  7. Kita

My kids really love FrightFest. We go every year. Always a good time.

  8. Tiffany Haywood

This looks like so much fun! I’m a bit scary but it actually looks like something I wouldn’t be too freaked out about…LOL

  9. Kiwi

There was fright fest here in Atlanta but I missed it. I havent personally been to fright fest since I was a teen but I have a 10 yr old niece who would love to go!

  10. Demetra

This looks like a scary good time! I’m a bit of a scaredy cat but this looks like so much fun I would definitely bring my family out to Fright Fest! I’d be screaming the whole time

It is a scary good time that is the best summary for it. I screamed and laughed the entire time. You have to have fun people with you for sure.

  11. Nicole of NLLMag

I’m always up for an adventure, scary and all. I think this would have had me laughing and crying all at the same time. I was cracking up watching the clip.

  12. Tanay

I’ve always wanted to go to Fright Fest but I am so scary! LOL. I’d probably be in there crying.

  13. Queen Thrifty
