Did You Know Today Is Air Max Day?

Hey Cuties,

Today is one of my favorite days where I get to talk about one of my favorite things. SNEAKERS! In the last year of my 30’s, I began to fall in love with sneakers in a way I never had. At 40 years + six months, I am a very proud and budding sneakerhead. I don’t know how long the newbie phase lasts but I guess I fit the bill. I don’t know if I need the time or if it depends on what my sneaker collection looks like. Either way, I am here for the long haul.

With all of the extra time on my hands, it allowed me to get a bit more creative. I created this fun one minute video in celebration of Air Max Day!

Now, Nike recognizes March 26 as Air Max Day, and 33 years later today the company is celebrating by releasing new sneakers, some that are limited edition styles. You can rock with the classics like the Air Max 1 or Air Max 90, or even the Jordan sneakers for the basketball fans out there The Air Max 90 is my absolute favorite as you will see. If you are a runner you might like the Air VaporMax and the newest release is the Air Max Dia for the ladies. I’m not feeling those too tough, but you might. Air Max 270 has quickly become popular especially with the React sole.

Nike Air Max 90 LX Women’s (LX Daisy Leopard) – (I’ve not worn these yet either.)
Color:

The Nike Air Max 90 LX stays true to its OG roots with the iconic Waffle sole, stitched overlays, and classic TPU accents. Its burst of vibrant colors and mirrored holographic upper nods to 90’s rave culture. The Air Max 90 LX ‘Laser Fuchsia’ celebrates the silhouette’s 30th anniversary with an eye-catching design, one that draws inspiration from the rave scene that dominated youth culture in the ‘90s. Additional details include a daisy logo on the tongue tag and insole, as well as an unexpected hit of leopard print on the collar lining.

Air Max Day

Nike Air Max 90 PRM
Color: Platinum Crimson/Bright Purple (W)

After almost 30 years, the Air Max 90 remains a cultural icon. The classic silhouette and bold use of Nike’s Air technology stand unchanged and undisputed. But tradition is meant to be challenged. Look closely – this PRM model features premium material accents like suede leather and an iced rubber outsole, along with playful design tweaks like square eye stays and chrome lace ornaments. On top of that, something tells us you couldn’t find this colorway on store shelves in 1990. This isn’t your aunt’s Air Max 90, this is an Air Max 90 designed for now.

Air Max Day

AIR MAX 90
Color: VOLT

Since the day it launched 30 years ago, the Air Max 90 has been an icon of culture. The classic silhouette and bold use of Nike’s Air technology stand unchanged and undisputed for good reason. This latest version uses luxury materials and an eye-catching Volt colorway to show off the shoe’s signature shapes that true fans can recognize from blocks away. For those that want a little more support, this edition includes removable anatomical arch supports designed to complement the classic ride of the Max Air unit.

Air Max Day Nike Air Max 1 Atmos 2.0

Nike Air Max 1 Atmos Animal Pack 2.0 (2018 All Black Box) (Sold out!)

The Jungle Book has got nothing on these Nike Air Max 1 Atmos Animal Packs. Made in collaboration with Atmos, these are a new take on the classic “Animal” AM95, originally released in 2007. Coming in wheat, sport red, bison and classic green, they feature a synthetic tiger, leopard, zebra, and pony printed upper. Red accents the “Swoosh” on the sides while black detailing on the upper, replacing the ivory found on the OG’s finishes this pair off. They first dropped on March 2nd, 2018, exclusively via the Nike SNKRS Pass to NYC-based customers via the SNKRS app. A second drop followed on March 17th, 2018, at select Nike Sportswear retailers worldwide. If you want your Air Max collection to have some of that jungle juice, these are a must.

Air Max Day

Nike Air Max 90 Essential (Men)
Color: Wolf Grey/Rush Pink-Volt-White

As one of the pillars of Nike’s lifestyle Air Max releases each and every season, the Air Max 90 has been dressed in a veritable profusion of colors over the last few years – and the latest makeup of the classic sneaker offers lively neon accents. Calling upon a grey base and black mudguard as a simple starting point, this new 90 uses two neon tones – fuchsia and volt – for accents, dressing the branded overlays, Air Max unit’s cage, and part of the outsole in the bright palette for animated pops of style. The look is then completed by a simple white midsole, black outsole, and soft grey laces.
