Salt-N-Pepa’s Here

Hey Cuties,

I’m taking a break from all things Christmas to talk about a blast from my past. I spent the first seven years of my life living in the Bronx, New York. I lived on East 22nd Second Street between Barnes & Bronxwood and I loved our block. Rap music was bursting on the scene and it was a great time to live in New York. My sister is six years older than me and was all about her music. That means I was introduced to artist such as Salt-N-Pepa much earlier that my peers. Get up on this!

I had the opportunity to interview Salt {Cheryl James} -N- Pepa {Sandra Denton} on Huff Post Live and there was no way I was turning that down. Hello icons, fashion, style and kicking butt and taking names. Sign me up! What you know about an asymmetrical bleached out hair cut? I’m talking razor cuts on the side while wearing leggings and oversized leather jackets. I still have Bamboo earrings, don’t judge me monkey.

Salt-N-Pepa were on Huff Post Live to talk about their new cooking show on the Cooking Channel called Cookin’ With Salt-N-Pepa. The ladies are on tour and at each stop they venture out to three local hot spots. The fun thing is they are total opposites in taste; Salt is more down-home type of place and Pepa wants a spicier spot with dope people. The third spot is suggested by family, fan or friend.
