Friday was a big day for me and I was looking forward to it. I was on Good Morning Washington, News Ch. 8 & ABC 7 for National Ugly Sweater Day. My recent blog post on the DIY Ugly Sweaters for LittleCuteLips and I were right on time. National Ugly Sweater Day is the third Friday of December, this year that was Friday, December 16th, so happy belated #NationalUglySweaterDay
I was excited to find out I was going to be on the news again. I’d been on the news stations in Baltimore talking about Halloween costumes and DIY Christmas ideas, but this was a first in my local market. My family and friends could tune in and watch it all happen live and in living color. I’m also the self-proclaimed Craft Queen so this was perfect. I worked right across the street from News Ch. 8 & ABC 7 for years and I had never been in the building. On Friday I was officially in the building I had my trustee Boo The Style Medic riding shotgun with me.
They have this nice step and repeat wall that is right in-front of epic lights so you get the best photos no matter what. I need one of these in my home, I swear I do. Pictures or it didn’t happen. You know I’m all about my branding and I try to factor it in no matter what I’m doing. MimiCuteLips met Christmas and “Merry Kissmas” was the result. I purchased this silly garland from the craft store, cut it up and stitched it to the wrist and collar of my sweatshirt. My sweatshirt was another $5 purchased like this one. I used the lip stencil from the shirt tutorial I did for Valentine’s Day.
I had two completed sweaters to show off. I also had two partially done sweaters for the anchors to work on during the segment.
We had such a good time, the jingle bell sweater was a huge hit. I had no idea.
A big thanks to Jummy and Autria, they were hilarious.
You are only as great as your tribe…
