The Truth About MimiCuteLips In 5 Fascinating Facts
Hey Cuties,
One of the things I want to do this year on MimiCuteLips.com is to share more of me. More of who I am as a person, what I’ve experienced in life and how I got to be the dope ass chick that you know me as today. I’m so fascinated by people’s stories, I like to know the who, what, when, where and why. So it’s only fair that I share some of that myself.
Fun Fact #1 I was born unassisted: No this wasn’t a water birth or some fancy new birthing process. My mother was in the hospital in labor; the doctor turned his back to wash his hands. You know, because sanitation. I popped out on my own and my Mom yelled for someone to catch her baby. The nurse did just that and it was really fast. Did I mention I was born at 11:11 PM, I was destined to be magical. Hello, I’m a unicorn damn it.
Fun Fact #2 I hate scary movies: I hate to be scared. If a movie gets too suspenseful I will quit it too. I just watched Get Out over the weekend, and if Babe didn’t keep saying “Just watch it” as I was complaining about it, I would have gotten out. Comedy anyone!
Fun Fact #3 My legal name is Michellette: I hate that I need to tell you how to pronounce it, but it is (me-shell-let). It is a made-up name; I was born on my aunt’s birthday her middle name is Michelle + my mom’s first name is Claudette. Michelle + Claudette = Michellette. Despite my made-up name, there are 20+ Twitter profiles with the name Michellette. If you want to get even more tragic my sister’s name is Bernadette. What in the ham fat is going on? Why do our names need to rhyme? Why are our first names so damn long? I don’t have the answers, only the questions. Hello, I’m Mimi, nice to meet you.
Fun Fact #4 I am obsessed with ironing: I iron every single thing; I’m self-diagnosed OCD, and I can not leave home without ironing my clothes. I even ironed my kid’s onesies when they were babies. I know no one can see them most of the time but I do. I have ironed tablecloths, pillowcases, duvets, and a few other crazy things. I iron the tank tops that I wear under my sweaters every day. Judge your mother! Bonus fun fact: Michael B Jordan also loves ironing.
Fun Fact #5 I love curse words: I love people that curse. I keep it clean around the kids and mostly on the blog but when they aren’t around it is vulgar city. It makes me feel liberated and it totally makes for better storytelling. Even more than that I love old people who curse. Like Ginga (age 99) and Gramma (age 103), they are my new virtual best friends. They are also best friends and they are hilarious. One of the reasons I’m looking forward to being old is because I am going to be that vulgar old lady. Even better that you have to suck it up because I’m old and you can’t fight an old lady. Ha!

I was named after a singer (Sheena Easton) and an actress (Nichelle Nichols from Star Trek). I love these facts about you and look forward to getting to know you more through your blog.
OMG, the dryer doesn’t do enough for my OCD. I must iron.
I loved Sheena Easton back in the day. Nichelle Nicols is a beauty. Your parents picked great ladies to name you after.
I recently went back to school, and is having a sweet time with the fact these kids who are my daughter’s age and younger, thinks I’m their age.
Oh yes, Nicole. I freaking love that.

Girl your name is long but it’s super cute. And I love that you decide to share a piece of you, with us.
Oh, yes Toni. We can chat girl.
It is super long, nobody needs 11 letters in their first name alone.
This was so entertaining lol! My name is made up too, dads name is Kevin and somehow my mom came up with Kayvona haha. People ask me if it’s Russian all the time, so much that I’ve just decided to run with it and say yea lol! Maybe there are some Kayvona’s in Russia lol
Ha, that is hilarious.
Michellette is a popular french last name. I need to just go with that as well.
Girl! I hate scary movies too!!! I just can’t do it, something about them! I enjoyed this post, very personal and great to learn more about you!
See, give me a good comedy. I want to laugh, I don’t want to be afraid.
Those are some interesting facts about. I too love to curse so I understand your sentiment on that.
Hahahhahaha, you are my people.
Okay, I hate scary movies too. Won’t watch it no matter who is with me. I really don’t like cuss words but have been picking it up lately. Shame, I know. I really need to stop lol.
I won’t watch them either but I will do a little suspense here and there.
No shame, you are an adult.
I’ve learned so much about you in this feature! I love your name, it’s so unique!
Thanks, mission accomplished.
I laughed when I read that you are obsessed with ironing because you are about to totally hate me. I don’t even own an iron LOL!! I just throw stuff in the dryer if it’s super wrinkly.
OMG! Robin, how do you live. That would drive me crazy. My sister is 45 and if we are going out together I iron her clothes for her because I know she won’t.
I don’t like to iron and I was raised not to use curse words. Nobody else will have your name that is for sure. Two of my babies the nurses delivered because the doctor wasn’t ready.
I don’t know when I fell in love with ironing.
I was totally taught to not curse as well, my mommy doesn’t curse.
I love learning more about you! I, too, hate scary movies and never watch them. I also iron just about every single day. I’m not that person who irons ahead of time. I don’t curse anymore. When I was younger (teens, 20’s), I could out cuss a sailor.
Ha, you are my kind of gal Alli. During the work week I iron the night before so we can get out the door on time.
I love curse words too! I use them daily 😉 I like your legal name as well. It’s fun.
And please come iron our stuff. I don’t iron. My husband does. I’m terrible at it.
Hahaha, I love that Amber. Thanks.
Ironing gives me a strange peace, plus I’m OCD.
I love these types of posts. I love getting to know people. How do you hate scary movies? I love them but I do hate ironing, I don’t even own an iron. But I am with you on the swearing!
They freak me out, I would follow Babe around all day long. lol
I hate scary movies, too. I am also a prime cusser. So was my dad, that is that. Nice to meet you!
Hahahahaha. Nice to meet you Terri.
This is a fun post! I always like to get to know the bloggers better. I am not a big fan of scary movies either, I like romantic comedies and just straight up comedies. Having fun and watching a movie is so much better than being freaked out and stressed!
Emily we could totally see movies together.
Hey boo, Hey! How the h*ll are ya?! Sooo, we have a few things in common:
1) I don’t like scary/suspenseful movies/shows either
B) I curse too and it is definitely liberating!
Random fact about me: I will divulge in my next IG story ?
Aye! That means we are not bringing Te to the movies with us. lol
Love this! It’s always awesome to learn about fellow bloggers. Also, I think ironing is really important and it makes the clothes look better. Lol. Nice to meet you, Mimi!
It is, I pride myself on a good appearance.
Nice to meet you Carol.
My Grandma ironed everything, even underwear. When she had her house built she literally tried to have a third of it be a giant laundry room but my Mom convinced her not do go that route.
Hahahahaha, she and I would have a good time. I’ve ironed beach bags and other crazy items.
One of my friends loves ironing too. She even irons her underwear when she runs out of other things to iron.
Everything is fair game when it comes to ironing.
Gotta love curse words! Ever pick up any in other languages to use? Could be a good idea around the kids, until they look it up, of course!
I do it around the kids but when they aren’t around it is a free time.
I used to say Sugar Honey Ice Tea and a replacement for shit. Then my daughter used to run around saying sugar honey ice tea; so I had to stop that too. She had no idea why I would say it or what it was replacing.
It was really interesting reading those facts! I agree about hating scary movies. And your name is unique! That’s a good thing! I think it would be cool to rhyme names with my sister if I had one 🙂
I had to get over the rhyming part. lol
Lol I hate scary movies too and choose not to watch them because I don’t wanna risk having a nightmare! So funny about you and your sister’s names rhyming, gotta love parents’ inspo for how they choose our names!
Right, crazy. I went out of my way to make sure my kids had really good names. I put a lot of thought into selecting their names.
You look fabulous and glammed up! I could never pulled off an outfit like that, you rock!
Thanks, Rose.
Cute facts about you! I love that you were born at 11:11 that is really special you were ready to come at that exact time!
Right! The universe already knew that I was going to be magical.
I too hate scary movies. I honestly gain nothing from them other than nasty scary thoughts!
Exactly!
I love curse words, too…but ironing? No thanks! As for scary movies? That’s a hard pass. I don’t know why in the world people would want to be scared!
I don’t get it either Amanda, where is the thrill in freaking me out.
These are really very interesting facts.I was fascinated by the manner of your birth. What a way to make an entry into the world.
I know, it was crazy. I knew I was destined to be great.
What a fun way to meet you. I thought I was the only one who loved to iron. I made myself stop this am when I started dragging out pillowcases to iron.
Me too, Terri. It is nice to know there are a few of us out there.
I enjoyed this. Like you, I’m not a fan of scary movies. I’m comedy girl all the way! You are actually better than me because I refuse to watch Get Out because it looks like it is more scary than it is funny. My husband keeps trying to get me to watch it though.
It wasn’t great, I felt like I had be tricked.
Comedy and action are what I like. Oh and a good girly movie.
Hey Mimi! Loved this post.We got stuff in common. I will say scary movies do not entertain me therefore I do not like them either.
You are my people, Leslie
